[A dark-haired girl in strange clothes from a bygone era appears on the screen, somewhat askew, a sure sign that she has never used anything like the tablet before. She's frowning and looks more than a little overwhelmed.]

Ah. Hello? That woman said I could communicate with the others here on this thing, but... I'm not really sure how it works. I fear none of the technology I've seen here is available where I'm from. Looks like stuff from Kagome's time... Also--I believe something was said about temporary housing? And a... space ship? [It's clear by the way she says this that she has no idea what that's supposed to mean.]

Anyway, my name is Sango. [There's a meow off screen, and Sango shifts the camera to show a glimpse of a cream-and-black two-tailed cat perched on her shoulder.] Oh, and this is Kirara.

While I understand that the... problems here do need solving, and I would normally be happy to assist, there's something important going on back in my own world. And... there didn't seem to be much in the briefing about going home.

Does anyone know where to get plants around here? In particular cherry saplings or seeds?

Also, a lab I can borrow would be very helpful! I promise to clean to clean up after and not leave any surprises

My payment for borrowing... would be my help in the form of an invention! Something to make your life easier! You have to tell me what you need, of course, and then let me borrow your lab again... to use for my invention, of course!

This is...the longest I've ever really been away from home.

[He sounds depressed about it, but then he hurriedly adds; ] And I'll be fine, I just -

[Lapsing back.]

I just...miss home.

[A pause, like maybe he shouldn't even say what he was planning to.]

...so...is there anything that - anyone can suggest I do...or...something?

[After Watari and Hisoka appeared in town, Tsuzuki had been trying his best to find a way home. While it's great to have some friends in town, he's worried that they'll be hurt if they're forced to stay here.]

....I don't suppose there are any cherry trees around here? I haven't found any yet.

[He looked out the window, at the grey and decaying city. The city lacked in natural beauty. Perhaps he was being too optimistic.]

Damn it!

[Kagura's camera is propped up against a wall in a brightly lit room, with a tiny table next to a rather flat looking bed, and a metal door with a window-pane of thick glass. The walls are white-washed, made out of brick, plain. Kagura bangs on the door as a young woman passes, loudly, but she is ignored,  like she has been for the past few hours. Who was she to know they would capture her so easy? She thought she could have run. But for once, there were too many of them with those strange weapons--guns, that she couldn't avoid. They'd knocked her out and locked her in this cell. And then they had the nerve to take her powers away?

Like hell she'd restrain herself! Her fan rests near the camera, blocking a view of the floor. She, after finding out no one is coming, goes to pick it up, opening it and giving it a sharp and quick wave. Nothing. She throws it on the ground in frustration.

She was free in one sense, trapped in another. How cruelly fitting.]

Let me out, assholes! [And the feed cuts out as the tablet is pushed to the floor.]

[[Private to Sesshomaru]]

[This is a bit later, only on voice this time, however. The voice is strained and bitter, full of anger.]

I don't need you to save me. I'm not letting you 'restrain' me. You're not my keeper, damn you!

➔ INITIATIVE ANNOUNCEMENT

A woman identifying as Kagura has been apprehended for violence and is being held within the Hold. If there are any who know her or are willing to attempt pacifying her, you will be escorted to her temporary confinement.

[ That's all for the public and immediately visible announcement! But anyone tech-savvy might find a second message, threaded through the coding of this one: ]

seriously, come pick her up? please?? like we don't have enough going on with ue interference and the ai being a smartass, jeez

[The feed shows a teenager with red hair. Really red. He's more ginger than a Weasley. He's still trying to figure out the device, apparently. The setting seems to be a kitchen, nothing special.

He sighs, making the bangs fly away from his nose, if only briefly.]

That mission was... something. I want to thank everyone who helped me when I first got here. As it turns out, I've got a couple questions for anyone who wants to answer them.

First, where can I get a journal? Nothing fancy-- I just need a place to write things down. As long as it can handle being shoved in an item bag, it'll be fine.

Also, is everything the Initiative told us true? It's not that I can't believe what's in front of me, but I like to see things for myself. I just got here, so I don't know much. About anything, really.

I think that's it for now. ... Thanks. [He fumbles with the device a bit, brow furrowed, and then it shuts off.]

[Kagura's on top of a building, one hand holding a fan, the other holding the camera. She smirks, a sign that, of course, Kagura's not going to offer some sort of sympathy on the situation. No, she's going to taunt and tease and most of all, laugh. She doesn't need all this warm, fuzzy, feelings. And Kagura's sure that enemies might be better than allies here, because if she does, she'll have a bargaining tool with the Initative. Give her a heart, and she'll cooperate. No go? Well, then she'll just have to kill them. Ruin their little plan until they do what she wants.

Anyways, onto the teasing.]

So, how does it feel to be stuck in a body that's not your own? You know, they probably assumed you couldn't control your own powers, so they switched you instead. Too bad, it actually made you worse. You can't do anything now, can you?

Not that you could do much to start with. But if you think otherwise....

[She pulls out her fan.]

I'd be happy to give you your last dance.

[The feed starts off a little shaky, almost telling of a technologically incompetent user on the other side, but he seems to have it. After a moment, a long haired man shows up on the screen, inspecting his device to make sure it's really on, and yes, it is.]

So, I got a question. Someone mind explaining to me what these 'missions' are? 'Fraid I'm really not that studying type so going through this backlog is something that's not happening. Figured it'd be easier to ask all of you, since it seems I'm here for the long run. May as well get settled in best I can, and that seemed like something that's necessary to know.

And while I'm asking, anything else I should know? Secret handshakes, passwords, people to avoid, places with good desserts, how do make a dollar or two to survive, you know the basics.

[He smirks for a bit, about ready to turn off the device, then wait... right... manners.]

Please and thank you.

[So that may have been sarcastic but he figured he didn't want those moral types to be on his case for not saying 'please' or something.]

[ The feed flickers on. Han keeps the video setting off. No names had jumped out on the list as threatening or even familiar, but it paid to be careful. He had changed his own name. One of his old fake IDs now sits where “Han Solo” used to on the tablet.

As much as he expects this to be a failed enterprise, he has to try. He clears his throat.
]

Uh, there’s an emergency situation. I’m looking for an escaped Wookiee. Eight-feet-tall, covered in brown fur, very aggressive. If anyone knows of its whereabouts, contact me immediately. Do not try to engage it yourselves. Repeat: do not try to engage it yourselves. It’ll rip your arms off before you grab a blaster. So. Don’t try to be heroes. Thanks.

[ If they’re here, they’ll know. They’ll contact him themselves. Now to sit back and wait—only his least favorite thing to do. ]

[The device is easy enough to use. It's not unlike the stuff from back home, so it doesn't take her long to get comfortable with it. The post goes up without a hitch.

She'd easily prefer video--this feels a little impersonal, but it's better this way for now. She's still not quite well.]

Hello, everyone. My name is Flora. I'm really very sorry if this message isn't...well, it's normally supposed to be, I guess. I'm a little out of it. I can't say I've had to make introductions like this before, but it's nice to meet you, nonetheless. :) This is still just a lot to take in, and what's happened to the Earth itself. I still can't believe it. This planet was once so beautiful.

I don't expect much, but there's no harm in asking. If anyone's heard of or met one of the Winx, would you please let me know? I would very much appreciate it.

Lastly, I have a question for anyone willing to answer it. Thank you, in advance.

Do you believe in fairies?

[Sesshoumaru is an intelligent being, and despite the lack of advanced technology in his time, he has been able to figure out how the strange tablet he had been given worked--merely by observing others using theirs.

With a reluctant respect for the humans who created this item, the Demon Lord activates the video feed, giving everyone a good look at his scowling visage. He's not one to make long speeches, but he's about to make one thing perfectly clear.]

I am not your ally. I will not fight for you, or with you.

[His eyes narrow dangerously.]

I do not care about this war. It was started by humans; it can be finished by humans. You created this problem, do not expect me to help you resolve it.

[He is silent for a moment, before making a dismissive-sounding "Hmph" and shutting off the feed.]
