[ He looks tired and slightly less chipper than usual, but that's basically the theme of the week, so no surprises there. Right to business, then! ]

Adrasteius is gone, which means I'll be taking over the Transport Clinic — which I guess can just be shortened to the Clinic, now. [ sigh. :c ] We've got people organizing supply runs, which is great, but we're always open to have a few more volunteered hands around. No training or previous experience required, promise, just let me know if you're interested.

Anyway, I hope everyone caught AI's announcement, about the revival technology getting left behind. Consider this a friendly reminder to try to avoid dying, alright? If there are any accidents, on missions or otherwise, I have a spell to resurrect the recently dead. Not that that means you should start getting reckless, because my supplies for it are limited. If anyone else has a similar ability, now would be a really, really good time to speak up about it.

[ He pauses here, starts to add a smile, and... rubs his hands over his face instead. He mumbles something that sort of sounds like don't even have a medical wing yet, and ends the feed. ]

[Ibin is calm, thanks to the screaming fit he had in the privacy of his own bunk after AI's announcement and the maybe two more hours of tunnel vision he gets before his next panic attack.]

Well. Um. I'm not entirely sure I understood all of that, but it seems pretty clear that we need to keep our medical response as... capable as possible. Our supplies are good right now, but I intend to go back and retrieve more, before the need is pressing. More of, well, anything and everything I can get, really. Antibiotics, painkillers, sterilizing equipment, bandages, anything. [Why yes, he is somewhat myopically focusing on trauma and first response supplies, seeing as that's what he knows best.] I don't have any particular preference for when, though I was thinking maybe... no earlier than 1980? I think that's about when people started mass-producing suitable antibiotics. Anyone who's been back to a time and place they think would work particularly well, please suggest it.

The other thing that might determine when I go back to is, well... [He shifts awkwardly.] I don't have any past money, I don't know if any of you do. But if you do, and you'd like to contribute it to this cause so that I can buy instead of steal... I would really, really appreciate it. And if you'd like to come along-- if ANYONE would like to come along, whether you have money we can spend or not-- please just say the word!

Mind, anyone who actually has ideas on how to... undo all this... well, you should stay here and keep brainstorming! But I know I haven't a clue, and anyone in the same boat who's willing to come on a side mission like this is more than welcome. Especially, er, people who can get in and out of places quietly. I'd like it if this could just be an uneventful shopping trip, but I have the feeling we won't be able to put together the money to get what we need.

Well, if you can help in any way, thank you!

[Despite everything that's happened in the last few days, Steph looks positively cheery as she comes onto the screen, dressed in civvies with her hair pulled back into a loose ponytail. She might not have worn the particular suit for a couple years now, but she's all Robin, all grins and charm, because she doesn't have the energy to be anything else.]

Hey, guys, I know this is kinda last minute, but there's been a change in plans with the whole cookie thing this month. [She holds up a hand as if silencing comments that aren't actually going to come, because this is pre-recorded.] I know, I know, I'm not exactly the regular guy that does this, but don't adjust your sets, Jesse's just come down with a hell of a cold, so I'm gonna run things this time 'round.

For those of you who don't know, I'm Steph, hi, I don't bite very hard.

[Steph pls]

Since Jesse's sick, we figured it'd be best not to cook in his kitchen, 'cause I'm sure we don't wanna give the newbies the sniffles when they first show up. If anyone who's normally involved would like to volunteer their kitchen to be the base of operations, I would love you forever, but if not we can just use my place, 104.

[And a briefly apologetic look because she hasn't actually asked her roommates. Sorry guys.]

We'll still be doing it on the 31st, starting early and hopefully finishing early so we can all head over to Ella's party, and the tent will be set up at the same time on the first, you'll just have me co-ordinating things intead of Jesse.

If anyone has any questions or concerns, now's the time to voice them, if not, I'll see you on the 31st, either at mine, or I'll update this if we get a volunteer.

Thanks.

[A lazy salute, and the feed cuts.]

[[OOC: Same ooc stuff applies; there won't be a log for this but feel free to say characters participated! The thread in the welcome log will still go up and everything will go the same, it'll just be Steph instead of Jesse wrangling things c: ]]

[Action: All around town today, Elmer will be handing out posters! He's hanging them wherever he can find a dry enough place, or is bugging shop workers to hang them in their windows or booths, and he's even just handing them to passersby. What is it? Check out Elmer's amazing graphic design skills with this poster he's made in whatever their tablet's version of MS Paint is. It's for the talent competition he's promoting, and he'll hand you one with a big grin.]

Be there or be square! It's guaranteed to put a smile on your face!

[Text: Yeah sorry but you're all getting this poster thing emailed to you too. Expect an attachment to this text. He's obnoxious like that. He has a question to go with it as well.]

I know some Transports out there are business owners as well! Anyone care to be a sponsor? (´・ω・`)

Open action, cut for length. )

[Later, his voice tight and restrained:]

So who else is aware that we seem to have a problem literally lurking in the shadows? In any event, I haven’t had a proper spar in some time, if anyone properly skilled for it is so inclined. [AKA: he needs to get some aggression out.

[And after a moment, an addendum:]
Not you, Ichimaru.

The newest Transports are arriving now, I suppose, and I imagine they're overwhelmed enough, without being bombarded by the... occasionally more distressing network posts we have on here. They'll have more than enough time to get adjusted to how terrible things are here, but perhaps a reprieve is in order, for both the new arrivals and ourselves, considering how things have been over the past several months.

A young woman mentioned poetry a few days ago, and I took it as inspiration to find the poetry section at the library. It's been interesting to discover poetry from worlds entirely unlike my own, and I thought we might share some of our favorites, if anyone has any. Snippets of prose are more than acceptable, if that's your preferred medium.

I'll start, shall I?

[Ibin's sitting on his bed, recently showered and changed into fresh clothes. He looks incredibly tired, but manages a quick, perfunctory smile.]

Um. Hello, Exsilium. I never did introduce myself when I first got here. My name is Ibin Cenna; where I'm from, they call me the Devil's Fruit Doctor, because I ate the Medi-medi Fruit. [For anyone who's seen him preen and show off, the small shrug he gives now is a far cry from all that.] If you want to know what that means, I can show you sometime. But that's not really what I mean to talk about now.

He really doesn't know if he has a point to get to or not, but honestly-- he doesn't. )

[Exsilium might not be expecting to see a smiling face on their network so soon after the battle, but that's what you get with this guy being among your ranks. He gives the camera a little wave.]

Hello! Is everyone recovering from the battle? It's good that the Initiative can resurrect people, don't you think? Otherwise that would have turned out rather badly.

Anyway, I wanted to say thanks to the people who tried to come to the rescue of my world. If we've not met, I'm Elmer C. Albatross, the person who was sent back. After what happened, it might be hard to think about this positively. But there's a few things we can take to heart! Like the fact that people can be ressurrected, or that while one world may have been taken over, it probably wasn't your world, and you might still be able to return to your own someday!

As for mine, well... Not much can be done about that, now. I suppose Exsilium is my home, now. The friends I was travelling with are like me, so they'll survive no matter what. I just hope someday things will return to normal there, so the survivors can find reasons to smile again! You're all still here, fellow transports, so I hope you continue to smile on as well!

i have some questions

1. how many people out there are musicians

2. would anyone be interested in playing in a band

3. is there even enough good instruments in this hellhole for us to form a real rock band

All i got is my acoustic guitar. I'd sell a kidney for a good working electric guitar and amp, but i can live with this. i can sing too, depending on the music. i don't write it b/c i'm shitty with lyrics and stuff but i know enough other songs it'll make your head spin. i'm the king of cover songs. but if the instruments are out there and you're interested get back to me. my name's johnny. idk it might be a stupid idea but i'm bored here a lot and didn't really know any other musicians back home so it might be cool to chill with some here. collaborate. stuff like that. we might even be able to get some gigs around town. i play at Nora Cafe and a few other places if you're interested in hearing what i can do, first.

but yeah get back to me i guess

[This is a thing he's strangely insecure asking about. Don't mind him. But, if you do want to come hear him play, and talk in person rather than text him back? Stop by the NORA cafe or one of the bars in town some night when he's playing. He's actually pretty good! He's a fiercely fast player, and his voice is best suited to the hard rock and punk covers he sings - low and gravelly. Once he's done his set, he stops to grab a drink. Care to join?]
