[She'd had a very to-the-point question about something insignificant, but that question never sees the light of day. Within literal seconds of its appearance on the network, it's erased from existence, and replaced with this:]

[If your character was reading the network at just the right time or is some kind of tech ace, they might have caught the original content of Sue's post--a mundane announcement that she's back from a supply mission and apparently "the good shampoo" is now available again...and pointedly no mention of the mutiny.

However, Tony Stark got to it almost immediately, and now it's a kitten picture.

Sue has no idea this has happened.]

[Why looks, it's the last face you want to see right now! Elmer's beaming smile graces your video screen, pleasant as ever.]

Are we all glad that ordeal is over with? Well, I suppose one part of it is over with for now. The offenders have been detained, yes? I'm not sure they can hear this, but someone pass along to them that I do hope they keep their chins up. Tough times are head for all of us, especially them, so staying positive is our key to diplomacy! [Yes sure okay Elmer]

Speaking of, exactly how do we deal with this now? I'm curious. We've been lucky until this point that there's never been much major crime. And if someone was killed, the Initiative could resurrect them, and the victim could tell on their murderer! But we don't have that luxury anymore. Mm, it's a lot to worry about with everything else is going on. Maybe we ought to have some sort of group meeting on how this could be settled. We may have to take it off-base in order to fit everyone, but do I think at this point that it's important that everyone's voice is properly heard, yeah? [It's times like this that you wonder if that smile is genuine or patronizing. The mysteries of Elmer C. Albatross.]

I'm also wondering how it goes trying to get us off this base. The moon has its charms, but I'm sure we all miss Earth by now. I know we've had a few snafus, but it's time to get back on track! After all, last times zombies attacked in Exsilium, it was a lot easier to fight them on the ground than in here. If anyone is willing to share information with me, I'd be very grateful! Because I want to help with missions or research or the like to get us back on the ground, and all the citizens alive and smiling again. Let's work hard, Transports!

[Fenris so rarely uses the tablet, even less so to publicly speak to everyone. It's pointless, as far as he's concerned. Sharing words on a machine when they could be shared face to face. This time, though, is different. He feels this is important enough to share. Not one for chatting purposelessly, he gets right to the point]

Today, I awoke with a message on this contraption. It appears to be one of the memoirs that have been brought up of late. I suppose it might be important to some of you, so listen.

[And he'll play the file, the tablet giving out the automated text-reader of the file (because Maker knows, Fenris can neither read nor write it onto the tablet himself, the electronic voice crackling out the message. Perhaps it detracts from the emotion of the message, or perhaps hearing the words from a voice, albeit a robotic one does the exact opposite. However people may feel about it, the message plays on:]

The "E" in my name is for "Elaine", so my name is Joyce Elaine--which means "Joyful Light". Well, let me tell you, I don't feel like a happy ray of sunshine at the moment. I feel angry. And scared.

But mostly scared.

I don't want to die. I don't care what anyone says. No one can be prepared for death--not even those who have lived a long time. There's got to be some final struggle involved; some sense of staying on this blasted world for one moment longer...

And this is my struggle. This is me. My final thoughts and my final fight against the reaper. As long as this survives--I'll always be. Just do me a favor and don't erase this, okay?

Thanks.

[Fenris considers leaving it there, his job done. But he feels maybe it would be wrong to the memory of this Elaine to do so. As much as he disliked the Initiative as a whole, he understood the words she spoke. There was some common ground, here]

Her words are wise ones. Perhaps it would do some of you good to learn from them.

Okay, so here's the thing. I am totally not advocating any of this zombie murder going on right now. But you most of you guys are normies and that's just what you people do to monsters. I guess there's not a whole lot we can do about that.

[WHO IS THE REAL MONSTER? IS IT YOU?!!! IS IT?!!!]

Anyway. I can uh...actually speak zombie. Like the actual language. So if any of you guys want to hold up your tablet to one of them so I can catch a few groans and moans and whatever, I can tell you what they want. Maybe we can resolve this peacefully, y'know?

I'm guessing this is probably the first time a bunch of you have ever traveled through space. Not as special as you would've thought, right?

Maybe in another couple hundred years we'll actually have a ship that can make it to another planet.

[Kerrigan you're always such a ray of sunshine.]

[The video comes on. Toph stares into it paradoxically, her sightless eyes open a little wider than usual, but her expression as bored as it's ever been.]

This place sucks, so I'm leaving forever. Bye.

[The more decrepit areas of the city, a far distance from the Hold, can be seen in the background of the video before the feed cuts off.]

[Muggle devices, particularly technologically complicated ones, are not among the items on Tonks' "things I'm good with" list. In fact, if she cared to keep a "things I need a lot of work on" list, they'd be near the top. Unfortunately, such a list isn't in existence, and now that she's stuck with one, that too will have to be put on the back burner.

Luckily (or ~magically~), she gets part of it to work after an embarrassingly long time fiddling with it. That part includes the video function… sort of. Her face appears, but it's sideways and angled as if she's not quite sure how it goes. Oh well, one step at a time.]

Huh, so that's how it works. Wonder if I can get it to do that again next time.

Right, anyway! So this place-- future of England and the like? Not sure I'm fond of the changes they've made to it. Can't say I've seen much more depressing outside of a few very particular instances. It's not something I'd want to aspire to meet.

[She chews on her lip, idly musing to herself.] What I wanted to ask was where we get a decent drink. I could go for a good butterbeer about now, though I don't s'pose many of you'd know what that is...

[Tonks makes a face as she runs some possibilities over in her mind before finally settling on one.] I'd also fancy a bit of exploring. None o' that "she sells this" stuff... something more fun. Or just a place to eat if that's too much to ask. Conversation's good for this, too. Nothing specific, idle chatter's all.

[The camera catches a grin of hers before she moves to shut it off. Predictably, she knocks it off its perch, and it captures a yelled expletive before shutting off completely.]

[Lily's still nervous, even after discovering that she's free of that underground facility. Not only does she not know what happened to her fellow test subjects, but it's a big change, and there will still be fighting. Will she accidentally hurt someone? She hopes not. She flips on the video feed. There are two things worth noting about the young girl's features. The first is that her eyes are yellow. Perhaps the most notable, however, is the metal collar around her neck. It doesn't look like jewelry.]

I just have a question for everyone. What do you do to relax when you're scared or upset?

[She doesn't want to mention the extent of her problems, but she shouldn't lie either. So she just won't say anything if she's not comfortable talking about it, or she'll change the subject. That usually works for her.]

This place is very different than what I'm used to, so I'd really appreciate any suggestions. Oh! And I'm also looking for flowers. The place I lived in didn't have any, and I've always wanted to smell real flowers. Thank you for your time.

[Today Sango is looking just a little less out of place, her hair braided and her kimono substituted for a too-big sweater. Of course, the illusion of normalcy is still ruined by the giant boomerang on her back and the demon cat on her shoulder.]

It's easy to get very busy here, isn't it?

Perhaps it's only me, but I feel like I have less and less time to think. There's a lot of bustle here... never any real peace and quiet. Just another thing to miss from home, I guess, though some days I get the feeling that there aren't many people here who come from worlds--or times, maybe--as vastly different from Exsilium as mine is.

[A pause--she's rambling, isn't she.]

I'm Sango, anyway, and this is Kirara. [She touches the two-tailed cat on her shoulder lightly, who meows.] I hope those of you just arrived are settling in as best you can--I can try to answer some questions, if you still have them. For those of you who have upcoming plans with me, I'm going to have to cancel them for the next few days. I'll be with Mr. Summers' group in the wilderness; I'm sorry for the short notice.

((CR & anyone who's sparred with her before can feel free to assume that plans were made, be it lunch, training, etc.))

Um. So does anyone have experience writing scripts? Or an interest in theater? Because I think I could use a few pointers...

[There's a slight pause before Asbel clarifies, and a muffled thump that might be a book closing.]

It's for the upcoming talent competition. The one at the end of the month? Some of us were thinking about putting a short play together for it.

[Action: Hold Training Area | Also Open] )

[OOC Note: CR, if they wish, are welcome to assume that Asbel has already mentioned the talent competition to them and proposed the idea of putting together a group performance of some kind.]
