I've got a hypothetical situation for you. It's relevant to our current predicament.

If you were married to some idiotic heroic type, the type that would say run into the arms of a nuke in a desperate attempt to save a dying nation, but the benevolent Initiative resurrected them, are you still a widower?

More importantly, if they didn't leave a will, do I still get all of their stuff?

Remember, this is all hypothetical. Nobody died. I think.

We've got quite the revolving door around here, which means we don't always know who we've got, or what kind of special talents they have.

Right now, I've got a particular interest in telepathic abilities. People who can get in and out of a mind, without having to crack open a skull. I think there's a job you can do for me.

It's important. I understand if you feel hesitant outlying your abilities for everyone. You can comment anonymously, until you know what I need- and I'll be encrypting these.

[Encryption: Han Solo;]

Do me a favour. Keep an eye on this.

[ooc: all conversations as promised will be immediately individually encrypted, with an unnoticeable third party access]

[Chloe--long time no see, network-- is settled down in a dimly lit bit of local architecture. At least it looks that way at first glance; Initiative buildings are usually a touch more pristine, and one hell of a lot more futuristic.]

Evening lads and ladies. Given the way things've been going lately between our sort and the locals, there's no doubt that finding what we need to get by isn't exactly an easy venture. Then again, when everything around here is coated in a couple hundred years of grit, it wasn't all that easy to begin with. [A small, thoughtful little beat. Drummed out on a table too low to see.] Or worth it for that matter.

Which is why after a lengthy hiatus, I'm pleased to announce that my item retrieval service is back up and running-- with a few minor adjustments.

[The camera shifts, dipping slightly as whoever’s holding the tablet shifts their hands. The cameraman in question hisses at her, clearly trying and failing to be discreet:] Oi, your retrieval service?

Well it was mine first. The next time you wind up in an alien future before the rest of us you can go start your own bloody business.

Fine, alright. Go on then. [And the camera shifts up again, less steady than before.]

--Right. So as I was saying. For those of you that need something-- anything-- found or picked up or even gently borrowed from a few bygone eras, Frazer and Cutter's Acquisitions and Fine Antiques is here to manage it for you. For a few nominal fees of course, and with much less glaring than what you’ll find around here.

Trust me, with the sort of luck the Initiative’s been having, you’ll want a pair of professionals on your side.

**Charlie Cutter is in red and the pair of them are more than happy to respond to any incoming inquiries or requests!

[Well, well, well, this is a familiar face, for those who knew him, of course.

Not that he's entirely thrilled to be back, he was in the middle of very important things making very important discoveries... among many other things that he refuses to completely acknowledge.

Right now, there are more pressing matters, such as...]

Well, it's starting to look like I really enjoy being dragged back and forth from city to city. Shoud I just assume really bad things happened or did I miss anything?

Private Video to Ellie//Moderate Encryption )

[As for the rest, will get a video of a young woman in what appears to be her room....a room that has a fair amount of books in it now]

Hello. My name is Dagger and I was wondering if anyone could give me any recommendations of books or plays to read. Even with my duties of training and the cafe, I keep finding myself with a lot of time on my hands. So I'd really like to know new stories to read.

My favorite genre is plays and dramas, such as Lord Avon's work- or William Shakespeare, who seems to be an Earth playwright with a similar style. Though I'd be open to other genres as well.

Thanks!

[Considering the festivities, the celebration and the time of year, gleeful posts are a common occurrence. This time, however, the minute the day swaps over to the 14th, this little photoshopped gem is broadcast all over the net. Followed by:]

Happy Valentine's day, ladies and gents-- or whatever it is you feel like celebrating. Free food and drink aren't exactly in short supply with the festival about, but if you're after something that's a little stronger, I've taken care of the tab down at a local pub and attached a few coordinates. And in case that video wasn't clear: it's all courtesy of Charlie Cutter's birthday. So go on, if you like, have a drink or five, fill his inbox with whatever you want.

Happy Birthday. Hope it's a good one, mate.

[ooc: Chloe's done exactly what she's said and spent a good cut of her profits on renting out a nearby establishment. Humiliating friends on their birthdays, though, that's really the point of all this. So feel free to do with it what you will-- and have your characters do the same, or not! c:]

[ So last time Morgana appeared on the network you all got a lovely view of her face. This time? Well the tablet has been distinctly pointed towards what looks like a ruined wall, eroded by time or anger it is hard to tell. ]

She is gone.

[ What a lovely opening. The voice comes from off camera, laced with venom and anger. She did not want to remember, she did not want to experience all that again, she hates them she hates them ─

And the Initiative made her love again. ]

She is dead.

[ If she knew more about the tablet, if she cared, she would filter this to the necessary parties (the only ones who would understand her words) but she doesn't, she is far too angry, far too furious to do such a thing. ]

That girl died years ago while Camelot slept, she died and she is never coming back.

[ Is she trying to convince them? Or herself? Who knows and perhaps no one will, but a moment later with heavy footsteps the camera goes dark. ]

[It's been a long while since Chloe last popped in on the network, but unlike last time, the transmission isn't accidental, or dim, or even dire. She's settled comfortably at a table in a local cafe, sipping away at a hot chocolate and looking-- well, it certainly is Chloe Frazer, but she's smaller, a bit sharper around the edges, somewhere around ten years younger than she ought to be, which, owing to all the timeline nonsense, isn't all that bizarre.]

Right, okay. Not usually one to ask for advice, but seeing as how I'm not planning on sticking around and don't feel like absorbing the local culture, I could really use a hand or two. Recently got paid for an odd job, problem is it's not real money; it's this monopoly nonsense that works fine around here, less well back home. Meaning that when I do go back, my hard work was basically wasted effort if I've got nothing to show for it.

I'm sure you follow why that's sort of unappealing, yeah?

So, just out of curiosity, where's the local bank or-- whatever-- that does exchanges? You have one of those, don't you?

[She moves to switch off the feed, stopping short as a particular thought pings in the back of her mind.]

--Oh, and Charlie? If you're still alive, drop me a line. Fairly sure I owe you a finder's fee.

[Getting here and being thrown right into the thick of things? It's kind of like hitting the ground running, and he's nothing if not good at acting on exactly what he's given. But, he thinks in some ways it's made processing everything that much harder.

Too much information, not enough context. It's not exactly a pleased expression he's wearing, but it's not hostile either
]

This is Captain James Kirk, of the USS Enterprise. If any of my crew, or any other active member of Starfleet happen to be here, do me a favour and report in.

[He pauses to weigh his next words carefully. Considering the communication methods were given to him, he doesn't trust them to be secure from the people behind this whole thing. Anything he wants to say- It's either got to be coded or done in person. So he changes track entirely]

The rest of you? I wouldn't mind hearing about what you do for fun around here, or just about anything else about this place you can tell me. [Because you never put everything on the travel brochure for tourists, and he wants to know everything the higher ups aren't telling him. Everything that's only figured out with first hand experience and time.

A beat
] You know what? Why don't my new roommates check in too.
