[Anonymous. Yeah, right. Nice try, Elmer. Who else would send a text like this? Well lots of people don't know him, so they're free to guess.]

Reasons you should be smiling RIGHT NOW:
☺ It will make you feel better!
☺ It will make others around you feel better!
☺ It will help the new people feel more welcome and safe!
☺ It will help make the rain go away!
☺ Unless rain makes you smile, then it will make it rain even more!
☺ It really does take less muscles to smile than to frown!
☺ I think! I never checked up on that, but I've done both and I think it's correct
☺ Because we're helping the world!
☺ Because it will make you popular and everyone can admire your nice teeth!
☺ Because frowning will get you nowhere but a smile will get you everywhere!

Feel free to add to this list and share with everyone! Find a reason to smile today! (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

i have some questions

1. how many people out there are musicians

2. would anyone be interested in playing in a band

3. is there even enough good instruments in this hellhole for us to form a real rock band

All i got is my acoustic guitar. I'd sell a kidney for a good working electric guitar and amp, but i can live with this. i can sing too, depending on the music. i don't write it b/c i'm shitty with lyrics and stuff but i know enough other songs it'll make your head spin. i'm the king of cover songs. but if the instruments are out there and you're interested get back to me. my name's johnny. idk it might be a stupid idea but i'm bored here a lot and didn't really know any other musicians back home so it might be cool to chill with some here. collaborate. stuff like that. we might even be able to get some gigs around town. i play at Nora Cafe and a few other places if you're interested in hearing what i can do, first.

but yeah get back to me i guess

[This is a thing he's strangely insecure asking about. Don't mind him. But, if you do want to come hear him play, and talk in person rather than text him back? Stop by the NORA cafe or one of the bars in town some night when he's playing. He's actually pretty good! He's a fiercely fast player, and his voice is best suited to the hard rock and punk covers he sings - low and gravelly. Once he's done his set, he stops to grab a drink. Care to join?]

[Cedric appears on the screen, waving hello.]

Hello! I know we've all had a rough time of it lately and we've got some newcomers again, so I was wondering if you might be interested in trying the virtual reality system with me? I really like football, it's been going great, but I miss my own game. So I'd like to try us with a game from my world, Quidditch. That word probably means nothing to most of you, so I'll explain the game. Just try to follow along with the picture.

[Cedric holds up this crayon drawing, adjusting the tablet's position so that it can be seen more easily.]

cut for crayon drawing and long description of silly broom games )

In Spira, people play a game called Blitzball. Every year there's a big tournament in Luca, and people come from all over to watch it and root for their favorite team. It was one of the few really good things we had in Spira. A time for everyone to get together and have fun, and forget about their sorrows for a little while.

I wondered if there's anything like that here? Maybe not a sport, but some kind of regular event where everyone gathers to celebrate and have fun?

I've noticed the trend towards asking our fellow transports philosophical questions on this network. While I can't say I particularly see the appeal, there is something about which I am curious of others' opinions.

Namely - how would you define a home?

If it's not something you'd wish to talk about, there's no point in answering; similarly, I don't mind answering, myself, for the curious - it's only polite when asking, after all.

( before anyone bothers with either of those points. homes aren't something he's thought about in years, really, fairly certain of the fact that he doesn't have one anymore; but after eight months or more in exsilium...he's starting to, a little bit. )

[ Feferi doesn't look like she just got back from a three week mission, she's made sure of that. She is staring a little too intently at the camera, and looking a little too cheerful-- normal for her. ]

Hello Exsilium! It's so good to be back, but it looks like I miss one shell of a mission! I had my own to be on, but it sounds like it was a lot of fun, from what I've heard so far. And I missed the new arrivals? [ She raises a hands a gives a little wave. ] Hi to all of you too!

Oh, but I wanted to ask something too! Is anyone here really good with making furniture?

[And, much like he said he would because Sollux is nothing but a man of his word, (when his word promises to do something spiteful towards a guy he very much dislikes), the feed opens up with just audio. Because if you saw the mess of a body this guy was in right now, you'd be horrified too.]

Public thervice announcement time.

I don't believe I even have to saying this, but apparently I fucking do. One. Just because you're in a different person's body doesn't give you the right to fuck with them. That includes: not being a dumbass and thinking just because the body you're in has superpowers that you should immediately try them out, and not doing anything that will later embarrass that person which INCLUDES POSTING VIDEOS NAKED, you know who I am talking to here. No one wantsth do see that shit, fuckheads.

Two. Will the original owner of the body of a blond woman who "usually wears a lot of armor" comment here. It pertains to the PSA I just had to give.

[He specifically means Samus because of this post. However, there are... quite a few blond women who wear armor in Exsilium. Whoops.]

...And a side note: if I say "rumble spheres", everyone knowsth what I mean, right?

[ It's one of the apartments given to the Transports, although it would be hard to see considering the low lights and the heavy drapes over the windows. The only brightness in the room is that cast off by the tablet's screen and the end of a cigarette. In the glow, Sho's skin looks far too pale and his blue eyes almost having a reflective sheen to them. ]

Is it usual for people to disappear without a word? Just curious.

And whoever's assigned to room 808, don't move the blinds. I'd hate to die a lingering death of getting too much sunlight.
