[So recent things have made her start thinking. She's good at getting things, and she's good at trading. It gives her an idea.]

is there a place here where someone can get--
harder to find things?

things they shouldn't be lookin after.

if not, i'd like to offer my services. i have a camp if anyone needs it.

[She doesn't know what a black market is, but that's precisely what she has in mind, and Ygritte has a knack for getting what she needs.]

[With the video set up nice and neatly so she's shown sitting properly at her desk, Seles doesn't waste any time getting to the point.]

For those of you more informed in the workings of this city, I have a question! Is there a form I can fill out to request the removal of a roommate?

I believe there's a point where so much time dealing with an issue is enough to file an official complaint. They'll do something about this, won't they? [They better...! She's just been thinking on this the past two weeks and wondering how to approach it, if her huffy expression doesn't share that enough.]

...That is all, so thank you in advanced.

[ Effie clears her throat. Taps the microphone. Puts on her best smile even though nobody can see it and parts her rouged lips to speak in that designer Capitol accent.

She is a woman on a mission and for once it isn't entirely selfish. ]

Attention.

Attention everyone.

Thank you.

There has been some concern as of late regarding the lack of feminine necessities available to the recruited ladies of this establishment. I have taken it upon myself to run a charitable drive for distribution of these items to any person who requires them.

We would be delighted to accept your generous donation of fine fabrics and aesthetic materials such as powder or perfume that could contribute towards a woman's well-being.

Please note, gentlemen, that this effort is as much for your sake as it is for ours, and on behalf of the ladies in Exsilium we appreciate your cooperation in advance.

[ OOC: Takes place a little bit after this thread ]

[ Excuse her network, for interrupting your late evening, and if the feed is a little shakey. She's fumbling a bit with it, but uh... Lucy isn't really in the best condition right now. She's out of breath, and her voice is strained, but serious. She actually drops the device once or twice before she manages to get it somewhat stable. ]

H-hey. There's... something at the beach - some weird..dangerous thing.
...agh be really..careful if you go there tomorrow; I -

[ Whoops, dropped the device. Dangit. Mind the sand, as Lucy carefully lowers herself to the ground to pick it up - and from that angle one can actually better see she's... kinda bloody. Mostly on her arms, but there's some scuff on her body and... and her right arm is kinda limp, her right hand twitching. ]

I chased it off but if it comes back...

[ Okay she's already at the end of her reserve energy, so she sort of stumbles, letting out a small yelp because broken arms aren't fun. ]

J..just be careful.

[ This time when she drops the device, she doesn't bother picking it up again. Because the feed ends. She'll still respond though, she's just hurting and tired and... for reasons she didn't go into, really really upset. Anyone who might come across her will probably see her sitting at the base of a tree, resting up the depleted energy because srsly guys she can't move. ]

Hello, fellow Transports! I know we're in a bit of a pinch right now what with this super-virus mutating and infecting some of the population, but if you have a minute I've got some questions I'd appreciate some answers to. Some of them may help either now, if we're going to be trying to treat this virus at all, or in the future should anything like this happen again.

What's your name?
Age?
Place of origin? Planet, country, and city of origin would be the most helpful.
Species? If you're anything other than a baseline human, does your biology differ in any notable ways?
What occupation did you have in your world of origin? "Student" and "unemployed" are perfectly valid answers.
Do you have any prior experience with war?
Time travel?
Alternate universes?
Technology at the level the Initiative is operating with?
Do you have any background in medicine?
What about the STEM fields? For anyone who doesn't know, that would be Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
What kind of weapon did you choose upon entrance to Exsilium? If it has a special function, feel free to include that at your discretion.
Have you made use of the Initiative's training areas outside of mandatory training hours?
If you answered no to the above, why not?
What is your opinion on the Initiative and their missions?

Feel free to skip any questions you feel are too intrusive, or encrypt things if you would like to answer but would rather not answer to the whole network. Similarly, if you would like to answer but don't trust the Initiative's technology, I can currently be found in the library (the one not in the Hold) and would love to either talk face to face or take answers written elsewhere. Look for the blonde in the Metropolis University sweatshirt. Any and all private communication will be kept completely confidential and is only to satisfy my own curiosity. Thank you in advance for any answers!

And, out of the interest of fairness, I'll give you my own answers to this little survey.

cut because holy wow this is getting long )

[ ooc | here, have a textbox with the survey in it to make filling it out easier! ]

... Hmf.

[A grouchy voice. Cyril is a little too effusive some (all) of the time, but he's still family, and after deciding his fellow Noah was too quiet and subsequently sniffing around for a sign of the man and finding - nothing, nothing - well.

It doesn't put Tyki in the best of moods.

You better be all right, Cyril, or Tyki might have to lift a finger doing something unfun, and who wants that?]

Talk about a short performance with an anticlimactic ending. [Sniffs.] That's the way it works around here, I suppose. Promising build up and then a whole lot of nothing afterward. Speaking of that, I am bored. These people don't use what they catch.

Better to arrive here a traveler, eh? [He isn't what you'd call hurting at the loss of his brother/brother-in-arms. And he can take whatever the Exorcists decide to bring. But still.] Australia, now. That was a good trip. Kangaroo is pretty tasty. And it's not as if we ever see sunlight in this dour shithole. Too bad we couldn't be waging war from around that time in Australia.

[Weird place to cut off. But it seems like that's it.]

You are all from different worlds, so you must have different religions too. I am of The Elettari and I know my faith is not yours. I'm not asking you that.

What I want to know is this: Has there ever been a sickness that infected only the religious? Something that spread fast in some but not everyone. Made them act violent and reject their god.

What caused it? Was it cured?

Are there any among the transports who play a musical instrument?

 What the hell was--

[Thud. Kagura had actually decided to sleep in the apartments last night, since she had been in the area, instead of around the borders like usual. Unfortunately, this time, the power would actually go out. Despite having awesome demon powers and such, she's still bumping into pretty much every object ever, yelling loudly as she does so, including several expletives. It hasn't occurred to her yet that her tablet might actually serve as a light, as she's moving away from it in search of the door. Sorry to anyone around her, but she's grumpy, and she's horribly inconsiderate.

So, par for the course.]

If this is is some sort of fucking joke, I'll take their head off. Where is a lantern.....

[ the name attached to this account, and thus with all applicable comments within this entry, reads Haruka Takahashi, as usual. ]

Hey. I have a question, if you're willing to answer.

Say I need to see a doctor, or something similar to one. Because I am surly, uncooperative, and paranoid, I would sooner toss myself in the Atlantic than go to the Initiative for "help."

I see, as is logical, that my fellow interdimensional abductees have started their own medical clinic.

So, how trustworthy are *they*? I have a relatively bad history with doctors as it is, and, as mentioned, I am uncooperative and paranoid. I don't want to blindly trust someone who might, for example, "accidentally" publish my brand new medical record, or treat me like a guinea pig for some pet project they were developing in their former world.

The reason I need one isn't anything so urgent where I'll keel over and die in the next few hours, without medical attention. I'm pretty sure, anyway. But, I'd appreciate insight, rather than demands I swallow my pride and go to the first person who claims good intentions and to be able to help.

Thanks in advanced.

First things first - Initiative? Really? Come on, couldn'tcha be at least a little original? I mean I'm having a serious case of been there, done that. And for the record? Not really looking forward to doing it again. I've had the tour, I've seen the shinies - and I'll say again. Not interested. Opposite of interested. Me and freaky government strongholds go way back. We had a very hot and heavy relationship, but we're seeing other people now, and both of us are better for it. So, second thing? If you could just, you know - help a girl out and point me toward the nearest exit? That'd be real peachy. Failing that? I'm not your strong-arm. You can't control me. Don't even try.

[ It sounds like she's done, but then there's rustling, and she comes back. ]

Oh, neat um -- neat weapon thingy. By the way. Looks like it might be stolen tech from someone very unsavory. But you almost had me drooling. I'm watching you.

Yes, hello.

[someone's looking rather poised today]

To those that are unfamiliar with me, my name is Alice Liddell and I'd like to ask for but a moment of your time.

I've become rather tired of simply waiting for the next mission and the resulting, and seemingly inevitable mess we'll have to put up with due to the ineptitude of our "hosts". Whether it's swapped bodies, time discrepancies, or whatever else that could possibly happen.

If I'm to keep myself better occupied, then I would like it do be through helping whichever way I can. Specifics on what I'd like to help with can come later, I would much rather make myself useful than to continue remaining idle like this. Perhaps more another able body is needed elsewhere?

I can assure you that I'm much more capable than my small stature would indicate.

[she brings out the Hobby Horse and swings it over her shoulder.]

In any case, do give it some thought and I shall hope to hear back with some favorable suggestions.

[Axel doesn't usually feel the need to hide his face--he's gotten good at concealing his thoughts and making sure he doesn't give himself away... but everyone has a breaking point. Waking up to find Roxas' room as empty as Xion's suddenly was a less than a month ago is apparently his. He has to keep reminding himself that he doesn't have a heart, this can't actually hurt, it's only residual phantom pains, leftovers of memories... So why can't he just make it stop?

[There's a beat of silence, and then his voice sort of tumbles into the recording, like he tripped over his own tongue. His tone is a little strained, as if his throat hurts or he swallowed something terribly bitter.]

How often do people come and go from this place? I've noticed there seems to be a lot of turnover. A good number of people leave, a bunch of new faces show up, but sometimes old faces show up too. Is there any sort of pattern anyone's found?

[Sesshoumaru is an intelligent being, and despite the lack of advanced technology in his time, he has been able to figure out how the strange tablet he had been given worked--merely by observing others using theirs.

With a reluctant respect for the humans who created this item, the Demon Lord activates the video feed, giving everyone a good look at his scowling visage. He's not one to make long speeches, but he's about to make one thing perfectly clear.]

I am not your ally. I will not fight for you, or with you.

[His eyes narrow dangerously.]

I do not care about this war. It was started by humans; it can be finished by humans. You created this problem, do not expect me to help you resolve it.

[He is silent for a moment, before making a dismissive-sounding "Hmph" and shutting off the feed.]

[Hey Exsilium. Guess who was late to the time-swap party? This girl. Claire has long, dark brown hair, is extremely serious looking, and looks like she probably hasn't smiled in at least two years. She doesn't look a day older than the Claire that is normally here, but her eyes look worn, like she's seen way too much and can't be bothered to care anymore.

She's on a mission, so, just, yeah. Sorry.]

Peter Petrelli. [The sound of a gun clicking, loading can be heard off camera.] Anyone who can lead me to him, I'll make sure you're compensated.

[You out there Peter? Seeing this? She knows you are, somewhere. You can't hide forever.]

Not the best time to grab anyone's attention, but hell, this isn't going anywhere once I put it up.

Those of you who were asking for an update on ways to keep track of the names that show up on here? Here's one.

[Attached is a small script - when executed, it prompts for a search string, then runs in the background until manually stopped, periodically checking each name on the network and throwing out a notification similar to an ordinary network reply if any of them match. The code itself is heavily obfuscated, and the few comments it does contain appear to be context-free excerpts from something like an encyclopaedia article on Paris, but a reasonably tech-savvy inspection will uncover nothing more nefarious than the programmer's apparent lack of patience for error handling; it's not a complicated program in the slightest.]

I know one or two of you thought the converse would be about as useful. I'm working on it. But like before, if someone else happens to get there first, more power to you. This isn't a competition, it's just something a few people expressed an interest in.

Obviously, if any problems crop up with tihjssssssssssdfdafssssfb7

[action, Hold library]

[Whether or not anyone hears the soft thump of Ed's face hitting the tablet depends on how busy the library currently is with most people distracted by the age shenanigans - and anyway, it's muffled by the sleeves of his brown coat, which looks somewhat bulkier on him than it did a second ago. Still, that's... quite a lot of blood. It's quickly pooling on the table, inches away from the programming and computer science textbooks he had open in front of him. Some of it has already started dripping onto the floor. Someone with a keen eye might notice the dark patch where it's beginning to stain the back of his coat, too.

Won't someone at least think of the books?]

[ooc: text replies will be ICly delayed until this part of the plot is over! And multiple characters intervening for the action part are A-OK, if you don't mind handwaving that sort of thing. ♥]

Blood from a bloodpack tastes so foul. I don't suppose anyone would be willing to... donate, some of their own?

I promise, I'll be quite gentle.

[ Think that message was weird? Here's something even weirder: There is zero background noise in this message. No static, no voices, no wind. Nothing. Begging the question of where he is. ]

Oh, London, what have they done to you...?

[ The person on the screen has abnormally pale skin, with an almost reflective quality in the dim light of the room. He's dressed quite fancy, as well, in stark contrast with anyone from Exsilium, perhaps even moreso than most of the other transports. He looks like a crossed between amused, and disappointed; if anyone can properly convey two usually mutually exclusive emotions at the same time, it's him. ]

I've not seen such a lack cheer here in over a century. What a tragedy.

[ A long, overly dramatic sigh goes here. Then he smiles, his eyes flashing yellow for just a brief moment as fangs are bared. ]

They were right to call me, then. Poor, poor mortals. I'd be dearth in my duties as an entertainer to leave them in such a sorry state.
