now is a perfect time to not know what to do | video
[Ibin is calm, thanks to the screaming fit he had in the privacy of his own bunk after AI's announcement and the maybe two more hours of tunnel vision he gets before his next panic attack.]
Well. Um. I'm not entirely sure I understood all of that, but it seems pretty clear that we need to keep our medical response as... capable as possible. Our supplies are good right now, but I intend to go back and retrieve more, before the need is pressing. More of, well, anything and everything I can get, really. Antibiotics, painkillers, sterilizing equipment, bandages, anything. [Why yes, he is somewhat myopically focusing on trauma and first response supplies, seeing as that's what he knows best.] I don't have any particular preference for when, though I was thinking maybe... no earlier than 1980? I think that's about when people started mass-producing suitable antibiotics. Anyone who's been back to a time and place they think would work particularly well, please suggest it.
The other thing that might determine when I go back to is, well... [He shifts awkwardly.] I don't have any past money, I don't know if any of you do. But if you do, and you'd like to contribute it to this cause so that I can buy instead of steal... I would really, really appreciate it. And if you'd like to come along-- if ANYONE would like to come along, whether you have money we can spend or not-- please just say the word!
Mind, anyone who actually has ideas on how to... undo all this... well, you should stay here and keep brainstorming! But I know I haven't a clue, and anyone in the same boat who's willing to come on a side mission like this is more than welcome. Especially, er, people who can get in and out of places quietly. I'd like it if this could just be an uneventful shopping trip, but I have the feeling we won't be able to put together the money to get what we need.
Well, if you can help in any way, thank you!

[BTW, Han, he's got a pretty good memory for familiar faces. Now to politely ask you to help him steal things.] Well, I'm happy to take any suggestions! Also help, if you're interested.

And I would be interesting in helping. I do not know if we've any money left over from my last mission, but I can find out.

[He's more touched than he'd like to let on by her offer of money. He honestly didn't think anyone would even show willing on that one. Why should they, when they can just ransack history instead?] Thank you very much for your offer, and I'd be glad to have you along.

Well, if you don't have a prudish work ethic, I could probably help get enough money or supplies, no problem! ♥

No-- I know-- I mean, you're not wrong, just-- I'd like to avoid any unnecessary fighting. Money has a way of helping that along.

Unnecessary fighting? Well honeybee if that's what you're afraid of then just don't cause a fuckin' scene, there ain't gonna be a fight if nobody realizes shit's missing in the first place.

Is there such a thing as "compounding interest" in the country you're planning to visit? Because if there is, you only need to go back in time and invest a little bit of money, and then come back for it years later. You could conceivably make all the money you need, that way.
In fact, you could probably arrange for regular delivery of whatever supplies you require, and avoid all the bother and excitement of procuring them, apart from simply turning up at a pre-specified time and place.

W-wait, sir, sorry-- could you go over that in a little more detail? I don't think they have "interest" where I'm from, but if it works like you say it does I am certainly very interested in trying it out!

[ This is the sound of someone who is already bored with his own suggestion. ]
I'm not the best person to ask, by any means. There's got to be somebody--
[ OH WAIT ]
Ahaha, there are a couple of lawyers here, right? They're the people who take care of money and contracts and other awful tedious things. Talk to one of them about it. There's a Mister Goodman, I believe, and a young lady - I don't recall her name. Sophia something-or-other.

As for money, I'm pretty sure most people left all their extraneous things... down there.
