Kira Yamato
[ Text; ]

[ This anonymous message will be posted for everyone in Exsilium's network to see. It is simple and easy enough to understand. His wish is simple enough actually. He just wanted to know what drove these people to fight.

What was so attractive about a war that wasn't theirs to begin with? ]

Are we expected to fight simply because we have the weapons to do so?

For those who are fighting, what are you fighting for? How certain are you that you are fighting for the right reasons?

[ Action; ]

[ A few hours after sending the message, he can be found taking apart his tablet. He was studying it and searching for anything that would resemble a bug. Kira is understandably very cautious by nature and takes his privacy very seriously.

Whoever enters the unit will notice messily arranged parts from the tablet and tools on the floor and Kira in the middle of all that chaos with a serious look on his face. ]

Oliver Queen ➳ The Arrow
10 February 2013 @ 11:29 am
[Ollie's usually a little bit paranoid parrot about showing his face, considering everything that's going on here and how wonderful it was having his face plastered all over the news back home, but if he wants a few answers, well, he figures having a name to a face right now might get better feedback.

First, you'll see him turning on the tablet and squinting his eyes. Yeah, that's a good angle. His tablet is propped up in such a way on a table in his room, so during the feed, you'll see him crossing in and out of the room, arranging things.]

So! Since we're all basically forced to live here together an upgraded version of Survivor [look at him, using references he knows that are probably kind of outdated], I figured we should all get to know each other. We're all from different places and different times, right? Tell me a little bit about it. What you did, what it was like, what you miss...

[He might be new, but hey, he might have an idea or two up his sleeve.]

Oh! Collette. Think you're ready to give me the grand tour?

Lara Croft
10 February 2013 @ 02:56 pm
[Lara comes onscreen, and she looks tired. Tired and disheveled. Tired and disheveled with some cuts and bruises.

But mostly so, so tired. Perhaps a better word would be "beat" or "disheartened."]

... I was wrong.

About leaving, to clarify. The Initiative is ... well-protected. But to be fair I am not often wrong.

[She gives a sigh.]

... I am going to explore the area, then. See what has happened to my homeland.

Harvey Specter
10 February 2013 @ 05:53 pm
Video;

[Harvey is leaned toward the camera and is giving it a sarcastic smile.]

You know, Initiative, you really should have asked me to dinner before you took me back to your place.

If Donna Paulsen or Mike Ross are here, get your asses to 305. If anyone else from Pearson Hardman is here, or if anyone recognizes the name Harvey Specter from home, let me know.

Listen, I’m not staying here because I’m happy or because I agree with you. But I’m staying. For a while. And if I don’t get a meeting with someone high up in the Initiative soon, I’m going to be angry. And you wouldn’t like me when I’m angry.

[He drums his fingers on the coffee table in front of him before leaning back against the couch. It’s easier to see what he’s wearing- jeans and a t-shirt -now that he’s sitting back. He’s obviously made himself home in his unit, and looks at ease.]

Now that that’s out of the way, I’ll introduce myself. Harvey Specter. Lawyer and Senior Partner at Pearson Hardman. [Of course he’s throwing out those titles.] I’m going to need help finding the best places in Exsilium. Anyone interested in a drink or grabbing a bite to eat?

Action UNIT 305;

[And if any roomies are around, Harvey is spread out on the couch in the living room, fiddling with his tablet. He’s mostly avoided everyone up till now, but he spends a good part of the day on the couch.]

Kanaya Maryam
10 February 2013 @ 07:43 pm
[Though you may have gotten text responses from network user Kanaya Maryam before using that "hemotyping" and "quirk" marking her unmistakably as a Homestuck troll, this is the maiden exposure to her typing idiosyncrasies for the eyes of Exsilium as a whole, unlike her first two posts via video. Either her post doesn't lend itself well to a visual medium, or she doesn't want it to be lent to a visual medium.]

During My Indentured Servitude To The Initiative I Have Done My Best To Familiarize Myself With The City We Now Call Our Home
And I Would Consider Myself Perhaps An Appropriate Authority To Consult On Which Establishments You May Wish To Offer Your Patronage For Various Purposes
An Invitation I Extend To Any Of Our New Arrivals
Whom I Gladly Welcome And Hope Are No Longer Alarmed To Be Among Us

Unfortunately My Searches Have Thus Far Come Up Short In One Rather Specific Regard
Im Hesitant To Broach This Topic So Publicly But Having Tried To Handle This Deficiency Independently For So Long I Dont Think Its Possible To Find Any Other Recourse
My Question Is
What Would Be The Most Appropriate Place At Which To Purchase A Protrusion Hammock

[She's sitting in her bedroom as she types this, modestly dressed and just a little ashamed of herself. Maybe this isn't such a good idea - she could asked her roommates... who are modest as it is and might be too shy to define the Earth equivalent of this Alternian term for her; her human female friends... few of whom she'd feel comfortable imposing this on, and Roxy not deserving the embarrassment when Valentine's day is so close; or just a trusted adult. But that last thought is enough to make her snort, shake her head, and hit submit.]

Flora, Fairy of Nature ❀
10 February 2013 @ 08:26 pm
[The device is easy enough to use. It's not unlike the stuff from back home, so it doesn't take her long to get comfortable with it. The post goes up without a hitch.

She'd easily prefer video--this feels a little impersonal, but it's better this way for now. She's still not quite well.]

Hello, everyone. My name is Flora. I'm really very sorry if this message isn't...well, it's normally supposed to be, I guess. I'm a little out of it. I can't say I've had to make introductions like this before, but it's nice to meet you, nonetheless. :) This is still just a lot to take in, and what's happened to the Earth itself. I still can't believe it. This planet was once so beautiful.

I don't expect much, but there's no harm in asking. If anyone's heard of or met one of the Winx, would you please let me know? I would very much appreciate it.

Lastly, I have a question for anyone willing to answer it. Thank you, in advance.

Do you believe in fairies?
