[The video shows the room that Kang, Onyx, and Peter share. He's the only one present, leaning against one of the bunk beds that he clearly cannot fit in; it's a fair guess that the pile of blankets just visible on the floor in the corner of the room are what he's using as a bed. He rolls his shoulders and neck (and his wings along with) to try and work out the kinks forming and mutters a curse in Nerakese.]

Getting planetside again won't happen soon enough. It's a sentiment I'm sure many of you share.

Something to brighten a few people's day: a few of us have returned recently from a supply run with a couple hundred pounds of fresh meat. It includes venison, turkey, wild boar, rabbit, and quail, and even some beef.

I'll be going on a few more runs myself during our stay here. If there's anything you'd like picked up, let me know. [He pauses, and adds:] Essential, that is. Food, medicine, mechanical parts, spell components, things of that sort.

I also offer combat training, for anyone interested. Sword, knife, axe, and hand-to-hand. No charge up here.

[Private to Crucible:]

I have... a favor to ask of you.

[Kang is sitting at the desk in his sparsely-decorated room, carefully putting together what some may recognize as a handmade miniaturized catapult. The bowl is just big enough to easily fit the little worn minotaur doll also lying on the desk, next to an equally worn copper dragon twice its size. There are no instructions; he's building it entirely from scratch, and from memory. It's highly detailed, and the angle of the arm is adjustable.

He pauses after making a small adjustment to one of the pieces of wood with his dagger.
]

I know these are considered to be outdated weapons by most here. They remind me of home, though. I made one a little bigger than this for my children last spring. In hindsight, it probably wasn't the best of ideas; they took to knocking things off of shelves from a distance. My mate was not very pleased with me.

[He smiles wryly.]

I'm sure we've all been thinking of home lately.

[The dagger, held in his right hand by only three of his fingers, is set down. It has a wicked wavy blade on it, clearly meant for battle rather than whittling.]

This isn't going to be some sort of speech about whether we should or shouldn't help the Initiative. There's been more than enough of that already.

It's simple curiosity about other people's homes. Do you live in the mountains, the forests, a city? What do you do for a living? Who do you have waiting for you?

[He shrugs.]

It wouldn't be fair to ask without talking about my own. Many of you are aware that I am the Lord-Governor of my kind's nation, Teyr. There are mountains to the west and south, and marshes to the east. Most of it is savannah, with the city proper near the middle. It was originally an old dwarven kingdom, abandoned long ago. We've nearly finished rebuilding it, and we have begun building a road from one of our smaller towns to the port city of Kalaman in the west.

[A pause, and he picks up the dagger again, nodding at the sword leaning against the wall.]

I would also like to remind everyone that I do offer training with blades, particularly swords, and hand-to-hand.

[And, private to Crucible:]

I would like to speak with you, in person.

[ Aurican doesn't look any different, even though he has undergo a thousand years of change. He is still larger now (he might have some difficulty in fitting inside doors now), his horns seem a little longer, scales still shining, but his wings have undergo the greatest growth.

His wings are now large enough for him to fly. ]

Does anyone learn how to fly? Is there anyone I can learn from?

[ This lady's looking a little different, for anyone that's spoken with her before. Not any older, but there's a sort of crooked quality to her nose, like it'd been broken and healed some time ago. She's lounging in the Initiative apartments, looking like she's recently made friends with a superiority complex. ]

I want to speak to those of you who have seen a war before. Not the skirmishes that the Initiative sends us on here, but actual war.

And failing that, I'll take anyone that knows magic — and can teach it. That part is important. Don't waste my time if all you can do is cast it.

[An anxious Cedric appears on screen. He looks from left to right, his mussed hair flying just about everywhere. He taps the screen to ensure that it's turned on---in his mind this somehow serves a purpose. When he's sure everything's working, he waves.]

Hello! This is Cedric again. I've talked about this with one or two of you before. I'm sorry if I'm repeating myself or it's something you've all heard before, but this is something I need to sate my curiosity about. It's just that this world is so different from what I'm used to and there are so many different types of people. If that's even the word you prefer. And sometimes we have conflicts with one another.

So I have to ask: what do you think of people who are capable of using magic? Witches, warlocks, sorcerers, casters, wizards, or whatever you choose to call them. Are they all right, do you think? Or not?

[The feed turns on to a rather large eye filling the view before drawing back to reveal a reptilian and no doubt draconic snout for those who would recognise such things, covered in bronze scales. If the area that comes into view around the dragon gives a sense of just how large it is, his expression unreadable as he peers down at the communicator. His deep voice matching his size, the slightest hint of amusement can be heard in his tone, if said almost to himself.]

I trust that this is device is working correctly, a curious thing it is indeed. Far from the works of tinker gnomes, and far less likely to explode I would wager.

[ His expression and tone turning far more serious.]

I am Dragonlord Crucible, also known to many as Lord Governor Hogan Bight of the Lord City of Sanction to those from Krynn. I have spoken with a number from Krynn and would ask that any others from Krynn to make themselves known to me.

I have studied the information that has been made available in great depth, however I would appreciate any insight on the matters at hands that is not covered by the information available, whether regarding the missions or otherwise.

[Lookin' totally normal, here. Or as normal as a dragon can ever look.]

I understand many of you are confused, mainly due to the recent...difficulties. Fortunately for you, I believe I have a grasp on the situation in the large scale, if perhaps not all the tiny details. If any of you find yourself bereft of years of experience or in a place you generally do not recognize, I would refer you to Ms. Pexies admirable guide for the confused. If you have more specific questions, I will make an attempt here to answer them.

Hopefully in doing this I can cut down on the network clogging from dozens of baffled time travelers before actually important information gets lost.
