Susan Storm Richards ④ The Invisible Woman
03 April 2013 @ 07:07 pm
[On the screen is a blond woman, to all appearances human and doing a not-quite-perfect job hiding the kind of resigned annoyance only seen in those for whom getting hauled across space and time is just a bothersome day at the office. She's instantly recognizable to people from a wide number of related universes—it's Susan Richards, the Invisible Woman, visible for this conversation and wearing a black-and-white version of the Fantastic Four's classic blue uniform with the distinctive "4" logo on the chest. It's been almost two days and there's no sign of her teammates, so it's time to cast a wider net.]

Hello. My name is Susan Richards. I'm going to swallow my pride and assume that doesn't mean anything to most of you. [The necessity of doing so doesn't seem to bother her, even though the idea of not being known on sight is strange. Sue laughs a little, and lets go of her irritation. The only real problem here is that her family isn't, and that's always been a self-correcting state of affairs.]

If it does, however, do me a favor and check in? Avengers, X-Men, SHIELD—I'm not picky. [Sue's already run into two people from home. Maybe there are more. She'll even take villains, if only so she can keep an eye on them.]

Everyone else, nice to meet you. Lovely weather we're having, isn't it?

[OOC: Fourth-walling is okay as long as your character's not going to be a jerk about it. Canon fail post is thisaway.]

Cedric Diggory

[Cedric appears on the screen, waving hello.]

Hello! I know we've all had a rough time of it lately and we've got some newcomers again, so I was wondering if you might be interested in trying the virtual reality system with me? I really like football, it's been going great, but I miss my own game. So I'd like to try us with a game from my world, Quidditch. That word probably means nothing to most of you, so I'll explain the game. Just try to follow along with the picture.

[Cedric holds up this crayon drawing, adjusting the tablet's position so that it can be seen more easily.]

Princess Garnet "Dagger" Til Alexandros XVII

Private Video to Ellie//Moderate Encryption )

[As for the rest, will get a video of a young woman in what appears to be her room....a room that has a fair amount of books in it now]

Hello. My name is Dagger and I was wondering if anyone could give me any recommendations of books or plays to read. Even with my duties of training and the cafe, I keep finding myself with a lot of time on my hands. So I'd really like to know new stories to read.

My favorite genre is plays and dramas, such as Lord Avon's work- or William Shakespeare, who seems to be an Earth playwright with a similar style. Though I'd be open to other genres as well.

Thanks!

[The person on the video is...strange to say the least. He’s wearing an unusual, bubble-like helmet that seems to be full of water. And there’s not a doubt that he’s non-human. I mean, just look at him.

For a few minutes, he’s just poking at the Initiative-provided tablet in his hands with long, gloved (and apparently webbed fingers), and seems not to know he’s broadcasting a video. Or he does know, and is purposely making any viewers wait.

When he finally decides to address whoever is still watching, there's a harsh, robotic quality to his voice. And the whole time there’s a faint bubbling sound in the background, like a quiet fish tank filter.]

If this is a war you are right to want me. You are right to desire to have me lead your troops.

[He still doesn’t look at the camera directly, his large eyes staring down at the tablet’s screen.]

But I am not your wleyi to command. The wars of humans are inconsequential to me. You do not matter. Petty squabbles of a childish species. Your enemy is no threat or concern of mine.

[He sneers, showing rows of sharp, threatening-looking teeth.]

If you humans want to kill each other. I would rather just watch. Let me know when you are done.
