Looks like these guys aren't giving up easy.

[ Snow holds the tablet in front of him, showing a few NPCs fleeing in panic, a small undead hoard in hot pursuit. He's on his motorbike as usual, and takes off after them. ]

If you can't fight, stay indoors. There's enough of us out here to hold 'em back. [ Probably. ] Anyone who wants to help, don't get too close. If you need a hand, let me know and I'll come pick you up.

[ No sooner is he done talking than a one of the creatures turns to charge towards him - he raises a hand, sending out a blast of ice that freezes it solid. ]

Fang, Light. I'm at [ INSERT LOCATION HERE, wherever the crowd is thickest. ] Hope, you keep yourself safe.

[ The video starts to spin as he drives straight into the hoard, ice flying out of the side of his bike and launching some of them into the air. Once they're defeated, he offers the feed a thumbs up, shutting it off afterward. ]

The last time I was drafted into something at least superficially resembling an army, they had a box set up for suggestions. I've decided to carry on the tradition! These things are our direct link to the Initiative, after all, even if they pretend they aren't listening.

Feel free to add your own suggestions. After all, misery loves company, and that's why my wife says I'll always be miserable.

— Rodents. Why do my feet attract rodents? Is it my socks? Especially when they seem to be dead already, it's very distracting.

— Speaking of things that are already dead, why are there so many vampires here? I know they seem like they'd be useful allies, but in my experience they just make you do all the hard work and abandon you at the earliest opportunity! What a pain in the neck.

I'm sure I'll have more suggestions later. I'm a very concerned citizen.

[ ooc: I am heading out right now, so replies will be delayed a bit. ]

[ oh hey, this message brought to you by... not the Initiative, not a Transport... a citizen?? ]

Afternoon, Transports. Let's keep this short, as I'm sure we're all busy people.

My name is Thom Sorenstam. I'm Commissioner of Exsilium's police force, formed as of a few months ago. I've been working with Inspector Barnaby Brooks since to establish a Transport unit within the force.

So that's where you come in.

[ shuffling of papers.... ]

We're recruiting. [ a smack -- Thom hitting the table with his fist. ] Two sergeants, picked by myself and Brooks, twenty to thirty constables, two hundred marques' pay per month, a little more for the sergeants. You'll be reporting to your sergeants or to Inspector Brooks, and mostly be dealing with Transport business.

If you're interested, talk to me over... this thing, or at our office on [ X AND Y INTERSECTION ]. I'll want to hear how long you've been here, your experiences, your qualifications, specialties, skills, the whole blasted thing. And I'd love to do background checks on all of you, but that's goddamn impossi-- [ someone in the background interjects. their words aren't clear, but she sure sounds disapproving. COUGH. ] Anyway.

[ more paper shuffling. muttering. ]

Any other questions, crimes, concerns? Leave 'em here. I'll get to them.

[ ooc: original police force sign-ups were here! calhoun/[personal profile] chargethesebatteries and nathaniel/[personal profile] noble_nate will be our sergeants, everyone else will be coming in as constables.

you're still welcome to sign up OOCly. IC signing-on in this post is optional and can be handwaved, so long you've signed up in the OOC post!

[It's been days, perhaps weeks since she arrived, and it's taken this long for her to feel comfortable broadcasting even her voice in a public place. Even so, the message is short as she makes an effort to keep distress or dismay out of her voice.]

Since we've all been taken from our homes, there must be many out there who have left behind family, friends, and loved ones. As I've been told, there are people who have been trapped in this place for months.

Does time make the ache of being apart fade? Is there a way to make that pain subside?

[Rinoa's voice is quiet, even pensive as she starts to talk over the communicator. It's just talking this time too, which is a rage change because she's more of a video format type of girl. Only she's got a lot on her mind and she doesn't want to bother people, so voice only it is.]

I know new people seem to arrive here all the time, but... do people leave often?

[She continues to talk, but her voice is even softer now, her mind obviously on things aside from her broadcast.]

With everything that's happened, there's no way he's here. I would have heard from him by now if he was here, this just isn't like him.

[Then after a few moments of silence the transmission ends.]
