Lucy Heartfilia

With the new arrivals of Transports coming in this week, I can only hope that someone else - like Erza - will come back too. But I know there's no way to tell when, who and if they'll even return. Anyway, how are you all settling in?

[ More importantly, big scary!sis is very much needed, not just for the war against United Earth, but on a more personal level too. Not... that Lucy had ANY intention of confiding in Erza on ..that. Actually she was working on keeping those kinds of thoughts from distracting her, and so far it was working! She pauses, idly jotting down a few words on paper. It's a good way to get the creative thought processes down. After a moment she looks at her papers. ]

Wha... what the heck was I just writing?

[ HAHAHA NOTHING IMPORTANT CLEARLY. She bunches it up into tiny pieces. ]

EHeh, I was trying to come up with a title, but - that one was definitely off of the list. Anyway, I know there are a plenty of people who are good at fighting, but is there anyone handy with leaks? Or painting? My apartment could use a little of both.

[ That balled up piece of paper is tossed in the trash to be ignored; Because Juvia would murder her. She looks thoughtful - she should mention Zeref, but right now they don't know if they really do have something to worry about, what with that Initiative's pin. So. ]

[ Private Filter ]

Natsu? Juvia? I - we need to talk about something - can you stop by today?

[ Spoilers: It isn't about Gray, Juvia. ]

I doubt the Initiative would appreciate me discussing this, especially when we have new people arriving here. However, I believe it’s only fair this should be said.

Last month has not been kind to any us. The United Earth overwhelmed us and we lost an entire world to them. It also showed us there are some cases where they can’t revive us.Tragically, we lost Adam Jensen during the mission. I send my condolences to anyone who was close to him.

If it’s alright, I thought about getting a shrine constructed for both him and that world but I wanted to know if those who were close to him were okay with that. Perhaps it could help in bring some closure. You’re welcome to message me privately and anonymously.

Those that had given me aid since our time in those battles have my thanks.
I apologize for not having been able to say so to many of you sooner.
I am grateful to have seen many of you already, and hope those I have not are well, too.

Thank you.
I am glad to know you.

( She isn't the Oracle: she has very little faith in the security of this network. Either it has to be a tool for the Huntress, or for Helena Bertinelli. All things considered, Huntress feels a little more pressing.

When Helena speaks, there are traces of Sicily, it's all very charming. With the Huntress, it's all Gotham, rough and harsh, words bitten out more than spoken. )

Any Bats in the belfry?

( A beat. )

I'll rephrase that: keep your eyes on the skyline.

( There's a brief pause and for the trained listener, they might realise that is the sound of a fight happening in the background. Don't interrupt with Huntress with an attempted mugging when she is trying to talk, okay? Okay. )

Anyone else who's washed up here from Gotham, well. On the bright side, ( that was the sound of someone getting kicked in the face ) there's not much this place can throw at us that we didn't have to deal with back home.

( Look at her, being all optimistic. If only it didn't sound so close to scathing. She's on the move, and there's a breath - maybe she meant to say something more? - before a clatter, the pained cry of a male assailant, a sharp crack, and suddenly: silence. At best, she's faintly irritated.)

Nice to see some good, old-fashioned manners. I feel right at home.

( So much derision, and then the feed cuts. One can only imagine how much information she'll try to get out of that guy. )

Fujiwara no Mokou
02 June 2013 @ 11:13 pm
[One day around the start of June, Mokou wanders out of the city, into the ruins beyond. She's feeling restless, and would rather blow off steam further away from crowded areas. She won't be back for a few days.]

[So, if you find yourself out in the right part of the outlands, you will be treated to a spectacular fireworks show! It's Mokou, doing the spell card equivalent of shadow boxing. Increasingly intricate waves of fire launched upwards at the empty air, thousands of raindrops evaporating into clouds of steam amidst the display. She's not really doing this for practice, though - if she was, she'd need a real opponent for any of this to serve a decent purpose. No, this directionless onslaught is nothing more or less than an expression of emotion.]

[Each time she pushes herself past her limits, Mokou drops back to the ground or rooftops to rest for a moment. Each time, she looks more tired, but also more unsatisfied.]

[How pathetic I've become, she thinks. There was a time when I could pass a hundred years without feeling anything. Have I already fallen so far that this is enough to bring back the old loneliness?]

[It doesn't help anything, or even make her feel better, but doing something feels better than doing nothing, even if it's something pointless. She'll probably have gotten it out of her system for now by the time she returns to civilization.]
