[ oh hey look this piss is back on the network SURPRISE

WHAT'S HE ANGRY ABOUT THIS TIME

IDK BOMBINGS AND SHIT I GUESS
]

i have no patience left for the initiative or this war they are waging. and the complete lack of information that they have given us despite all promises.

here, then.

These are the names of some of those who sit on the cabinet of the united earth.

[ and then, BRIEF VIDEO, because he can't be assed to figure out how to take pictures on this damn thing. bariyan himself never shows up on-screen -- hell, he even makes efforts to keep his hand and fingers out of sight. he just holds up a sheet of paper with some names on it: ]

President ████████
Vice-President Varius D███
1st Lieutenant Richard Lawson
2nd Lieutenant Raima Solden
Vice-Chair T███ Vankempt

[ and now back to your regularly-scheduled angry drunkass texting. ]

this list was lifted six months ago straight from the depths of the united earth. if you want proof of that then I have none. all those who accompanied me on that journey are long since gone.

so perhaps one of you will be able to put this knowledge to better use than I have. then take it. but i am done.

Commander Alice Shepard

Shit. This place looks almost as bad as Earth. [The voice comes first, a tired drawl as the camera on her omni-tool shakes a bit. It moves then, to her stomach, showing burned remnants of her armor barely attached to her civilian clothes underneath and a hole in her gut that's dripping with blood; the reason why her hand is there.

Finally, the camera stops shaking so much as Shepard sits down heavily against a building, not really caring about the uncomfortable feel of rubble. She switches hands and brings the arm with her omni-tool up. Her face is pretty much just in the same shape as the rest of her, bruised and bloody, although she somehow manages a smirk.]
My Earth, I guess I should say. [There's a moment of silence as her eyes glaze over before she blinks again.]

So, not to worry anybody, but I think I might need a medic over here to keep me from leaking everywhere. [A snort.] Better idea: someone bring me a stiff drink. I think I could use one.

[Her eyes close just before her arm falls into her lap.] By the way, we won. [That's for the other Mass Effecters. They'll know what she means.]

[ooc: someone is back from her canon update :'3 also with a new journal name!]

You know, there's really nothing like spending time in caves to make you appreciate the great, unenclosed outdoors. [ though the scenery leaves something to be desired. ace misses the sea like burning.

buuut that's not actually why he spent time figuring out this new holographic, folding tablet thing. (look, it's a pain in the ass for someone who's used to communicating via snails. i'm not kidding.) he clears his throat a little awkwardly. ]

Ah, I know everyone's still rebuilding, but... Does anyone know if there's any place around here where a guy can get a tattoo? Or are there any artists on this thing? Thanks.

charles [ғ] xavier.
[ charles is visibly distressed when he appears on the screen, this time. he's in what seems to be some underground facility, and there are other faces behind him—notably collette, emma, galadriel, raven, and others. his eyes remain closed for a second and you can hear him take a deep breath. then: ]

We have... borrowed a gentleman by the name of Richard Lawson...—from the United Earth. He is a cabinet member of the President's. Yes, the President of the United Earth. [ charles clears his throat, steels himself. ]

We've learnt a great many things about the United Earth from his head, and we feel it best to share that information with all of you, here on the Network.

[ charles states the next words with a heavy voice. ]

The President of the United Earth is not human. "He" is—artificial. Artificial Intelligence, or what you would call an A.I.. The United Earth... has never seen his face, as far as we have deduced.

We will try to answer questions about what we have learnt to the very best of our ability, but do be patient. Ah—[ he closes his eyes again, considering. then he nods as though he's made the right decision and he knows it. ]

That is all.

( note: wow i knew i forgot something like a winner. THIS TAKES PLACE DURING/AFTER these linked shenanigans: [ x ] [ x ] [ x ] [ x ] )

[ That gauntleted hand lingers a little long on adjusting the image; wherever she’s from the technology clearly isn’t too familiar. Finally with a click she gets it right, all ornamented red braids and polished lizard hide armor. She looks taut and restless already from where she’s sitting; mouth tight and bare legs uncrossed. And she’s missing her left arm from just above the elbow. ]

So they intend us to be warriors.

[ Her posture doesn’t change, but the hard set to her expression does. That there is an icy, unimpressed, almost world-weary face. ]

I continue to lack the time and the patience for these tests, Grandmother.

Status report: what the hell happened here in the last month? Casualties? What's the extent of the damage? Any retaliation missions planned?

[someone's definitely ready to go out and kick some UE butt for bombing his children. Oh and you other people.]

Missions. How many of you were sent on them, what were they, and with how many people?

[screened AWAY from the Winchester boys]

Is there a sketch artist on this network?

[screened to Nicki Meg]

Alive? Did he do anything?

[The face on the screen is the one above. The image rotates a bit, then settles down.]

Greetings. I am Meliantha.

I managed to convince one of our hosts to explain to me how this device works. Where I am from we have nothing like it. Many things here are different. But many things are similar - perhaps universal things.

I would be willing to trade lessons in fighting for lessons in the devices used here, if it would be helpful. While my main skill is in the sword, I have used most weapons and-

[She pauses, as if interrupted, and then appears to address the sword hilt visible over her shoulder.]

-- no, I am not going to give you away, do not be silly.

[She returns her attention to the message, and continues.]

-- and have also taught basic tactics to arrange a successful slave rebellion. Hopefully these skills will be worth the time in trade. I hope to speak with others soon. I know there are a number of persons with skills in the blade - we may wish to gather and battle each other, in order to improve our skills and learn new tricks.

Shiki Eiki

[Despite recent events Eiki seems perfectly at home, she's not stressed, or particularly worried. It was almost as if everything going on simply did not affect her.]

In light of recent tragedy, I became curious about some things. There is a lot of diversity here, with people from all over, from worlds so different it would be hard to imagine, and I assume rules and universal laws that are also different. So considering this, I would like to know about the afterlife of other worlds. I understand it is rare for those living to know the system for the dead, but even if all you know is mythology and legend I would still like to hear it. In exchange I will share everything I can of my world.
