Having just finished training, she’s attired appropriately, wearing a simple dress and with her hair braided and wound about her head- displaying those pointed ears quite prominently for those who might have missed them before.]

I grow weary of the constant grey here. It is overlong since I have heard a running stream or seen the sunlight filtered through the forest canopy.

Tell me, those of you who have journeyed outside this city: does greenery yet remain in this world? It would do my heart well even to hear of it.

Indeed. [Several of her kind, in fact, not counting the elves from other worlds.] I gather you have some grievance with my race?

Is there? [Her tone noticeably brightens.] How might I find it?

There is very little.

[ Maiev's spent most of her time outdoors in search of something reminiscent of home. She's found nothing but dreariness and disappointment. ]

Should I discover a trove of natural treasure, I could inform you of it.

It would be much appreciated. [A thin smile] I, of course, would offer you the same. [But her wanderings are likely not quite as extensive.]

Not enough to be suitable, I'm afraid. But I'm determined to find some.

[Ah, another voice she recognizes. There's a light smile in response.] And who could not be comforted by such a reassurance? You do not strike me as one whose determination is to be taken lightly.

You could probably find some seeds though and plant flowers or something.

I could at that. [Thinking for a moment. If she used Nenya to cheat, she could get a nice garden going pretty quickly too.] It would be a small comfort, but a comfort nonetheless.

There is little green to be found, and the poor excuses for forests are strange and mutated. It is an ugly land all around.

I am inclined to agree and more's the shame. It seems a little thing, in light of our circumstances, yet a bit of beauty would raise spirits, I think. [And it's a little tough here for someone who feels such a strong connection to the land.]

Yes it does. Very lacking though. But there are forested areas and strange creatures here, I have traveled the Outlands excessively.

It seems that the greys here offer less than an inviting feeling, I must admit. I've grown accustomed to discord far too quickly than I should which isn't working out in my favor.

I wonder if a sound vector cannon could breach those clouds.

[Which is something that Lee was considering. Farmers used them to keep hail away from destroying their crops and it's not that hard to make.]

[hmm, pointed ears. They don't look much like his own, so she's clearly not an elf of Azeroth, but she's something else all the time. His guttural voice is soft, and he moves the camera away from his face as he speaks, revealing a view of his frozen lake and the relatively healthy foliage that surrounds it. Part of his cabin, with its elaborately carved wooden arches, can also be seen in the distance.]

I have found some small remnants of nature out here.

[His appearance does surprise her, but she's not tactless enough to remark upon it; a brief widening of her eyes and then her expression returns to normal. Until she sees his surroundings- then, a soft smile spreads across her face.]

Mostly ruins. Some animals, but all wrong - too many antlers, not enough eyes, you get the point. Take nature, put it under attack, get what you've got here.

I bet you could make a garden with enough effort and some seeds. Rains enough, after all.

[A vague noise of disapproval. Nature under attack is very much not a good thing. In fact, where she's from, nature has a tendency to attack back. But his suggestion gets a little nod. She's got Nenya too, so it would take less effort for her than it would for most people.]

Perhaps I will. It might be beneficial to grow my own herbs as well.

Yep! You can get out into the forests, they're not entirely okay but they're a nice change if you get out that far. It's a bit of a journey!

It can't be helped. He slows down to a stop a safe, out-of-range distance away to reconsider his approach. She doesn't look like one of the crazier ones here, but he's no expert on that!

After a few seconds, he'll venture speaking, at least. ]

Enjoying the... [ A glance skyward tells him it's yet again an overcast day. Like he didn't know that before! Why would he think the sun might make a sudden appearance because he looked? Oh well. If only. ] ...entirely disappointing weather, are we?

There's a reason this was set in a public place

[The man onscreen is twitchy, almost like an animal kept in a too-small cage that is feeling the urge to run and burn off energy. His hair is braided so that it falls over his ears, and the glasses might not hide the way his eyes shine when they catch the light at the right angle from elf eyes.]

There is some, but it's nothing like... like the forests of my home. There are animals and plantlife but this whole land feels sick.

[She smiles lightly. The staring is something she's rather used to and she doesn't think a thing of it.]

I cannae abide by walls an' darkness here, either. They say it's all wasteland outside the Initiative's lands, but I still want tae see for myself. I cannae imagine it all gone.

[Now that is not a reaction she expected; at home, she's well known enough to inspire a bit of fear, but here? Here, she's simply another elf, as far as most people are aware. Still, she'll say nothing of it.]

I may yet decide to explore for myself. It has been long since I have traveled extensively.
