Having just finished training, she’s attired appropriately, wearing a simple dress and with her hair braided and wound about her head- displaying those pointed ears quite prominently for those who might have missed them before.]

I grow weary of the constant grey here. It is overlong since I have heard a running stream or seen the sunlight filtered through the forest canopy.

Tell me, those of you who have journeyed outside this city: does greenery yet remain in this world? It would do my heart well even to hear of it.

I've visited the ocean twice, but haven't since. The state of the water was... upsetting, to say the least.

Thankfully the forest life has survived, even if only by a hair. You tend to find it closer to the few clean lakes and ponds, but I see them often enough. [ yeah mostly because she's been KEEPING those lakes clean. ]

[Ah- she hadn't even thought of visiting the sea. That was probably for the best; a soiled ocean would only worsen her longing, she's sure.]

I am heartened to hear that any has survived at all.

The flowers and trees are not many, and...tired. The air is not good for these things. It is all within ruins, a cage. Like for birds, but it is broken. Open.

This is within the city? I believe others have told me of it as well.

Yes. It is a not long walk from where the people sleep.

There are woods outside the city, yeah, but they're kind of grey too.

[Of course, compared to the high color sat of his own world EVERYTHING'S grey.]

I guess it's because the humans didn't know any better and choked the place up with machines and smoke. It affects everything.

[Well, that's an interesting sight. She's seen many things in her life, but talking...anthropomorphic animals are new. But she's far to polite to openly gawk.]

It is a shame, is it not? Little wonder that the people here are lacking in resources when the land is so barren.

[Thanks. It's fun playing the game: what-the-hell-are-you, haha-what-do-you-think-I-am, et cetera, but sometimes it's nice to just forego the whole thing and get right into conversation.]

I had an idea before, to go back and swap out some old technology in history with newer stuff that wouldn't mess up the planet this bad. Retroactively clean things up, yanno? Problem is, it never took off. I guess they had trouble finding the right points to put 'em in.

I do. It was a commendable thought. If we are to be kept here, we should make it as bearable as possible.

Yup! They keep tellin' us this is our home now, so we may as well fix it up! And if we do go back home sometime, then we'll know we left the place a lot better than we found it!

...Maybe I can try it again. Yanno, after we beat the United Earth. [So confident.] You never know, maybe beating them will cause a lot of this damage to revert automatically! They probably had a lot to do with it.
