Having just finished training, she’s attired appropriately, wearing a simple dress and with her hair braided and wound about her head- displaying those pointed ears quite prominently for those who might have missed them before.]

I grow weary of the constant grey here. It is overlong since I have heard a running stream or seen the sunlight filtered through the forest canopy.

Tell me, those of you who have journeyed outside this city: does greenery yet remain in this world? It would do my heart well even to hear of it.

Outside the city is enough of a direction, if you ask me. [ since he'd much rather see himself what's out there and what's not than take other people's word on it.

[ dean makes a quiet, disapproving sound. those sword skills are gonna go rusty sitting around...

but anyway. ] I'm sure your buddies can keep their pointy ears in one piece without you breathin' down their necks for a day.

[They are already thousands of years worth of rusty; she'd like to brush them off a little more before she has to put them to the test. There's a little tilt of her head.]

You assume they are all Elven. [Granted, most are. But it's still interesting.]

Yeah, well, ain't they? I mean, don't you guys usually hate humans -- and everyone else -- and want to keep them at bay so that you can keep practicin' whatever voodoo magic it is you do? [ the thing about dean is that he likes movies. a lot. and since he's yet to meet an elf back home, he's just going off your every day fantasy flick here. oops. ]

Not at all. Elves and Men are both the Children of Ilúvatar- the Two Kindreds. We have had our quarrels, but there is no hatred on our part. It is true, we are wont to keep to ourselves, but that is due more to the nature of immortality than to any distaste for the other races. [...we'll not talk about the thing with Dwarves. She doesn't hold to that anyway.]

[ganking]

Uh-huh. [ see, he's not buying that. but whatever. ] So what's up with the whole immortality gig anyway?

[inafadingcrown]

[Wait until he finds out her grandchildren are part human.]

What part of the "gig" do you not understand?

I mean, why-- or, uh, how'd that even happen? [ because clearly no one is born immortal, right? ]

It is our nature. Nothing more. [Try again, Dean.]

Nature, huh. [ beat. so then maybe- ] So are all'a you lady elves as hot as you where you come from?

[DEAN. There's a little pause as she tries to think of a way to answer this both modestly and honestly.]

That is a matter of taste, is it not?

[ SHRUGS. ]

I guess. Should also focus on the here and now, right? [ have a look. ] And I definitely like what I see right now. [ s m i l e. ]

[Pointed look.] What you see now is a woman wed.

And what I don't see is her husband 'round. Funny how things just work out like that, huh? [ to be real, he's just kidding around. causing someone to cheat has never been his thing...........but with her he can't quite help himself from teasing either. ]

[Possibly because she's a terrible prude, which makes her insanely easy trollbait. Which she is slowly beginning to realize.]

And I have yet to see any who might tempt her to stray.

[ ........WOW OUCH except he kinda deserved that. ]
