[The video feed flips on, focusing (after a few seconds of jostling around) on Galadriel, sitting on the steps of the Initiative Hold, her sheathed sword beside her. Having just finished training, she’s attired appropriately, wearing a simple dress and with her hair braided and wound about her head- displaying those pointed ears quite prominently for those who might have missed them before.]

I grow weary of the constant grey here. It is overlong since I have heard a running stream or seen the sunlight filtered through the forest canopy.

Tell me, those of you who have journeyed outside this city: does greenery yet remain in this world? It would do my heart well even to hear of it.

Maybe I'll get that chance someday. If they can bring us here, who says we can't visit other places.

[Grinning herself because it's nice o think about things that aren't fighting.]

An intriguing thought. [One she's not certain that pleases her entirely. Alice would be alright, but some of the people here... But she won't go into that.] Where would you visit, if you had your will?

I'm not exactly sure. Never thought about anything like that.

Never? Not an idle thought or a passing fancy?

Well, not for a long time anyway. Somewhere quiet is really all I can think of.

[inafadingcrown]

[A quiet little laugh] Alas, it seems you will not get your wish for some time.

[f_u_wesker]

Unfortunately but I'm used to it.

[inafadingcrown]

You work is never done, is that so? [She kind of knows the feeling.]

[f_u_wesker]

No, it's not. Not even close, either.

[inafadingcrown]

I can sympathize. [It doesn't often show, but sometimes she feels very tired.]

Maybe things won't seem so bad when we get back home.

[Slim chances but hoping is good... right?]

[A slight smile] One may hope.

[f_u_wesker]

Hoping is important.

[A moments pause and she smiles a bit.]

What's it like in Lórien?

[inafadingcrown]

[If there's anything that gets Galadriel talking, it's asking her about her realm. She smiles as well.]

It is quiet- peaceful, for the moment, at least. A place of safety, as best as I can make it.

[That's good because Alice doesn't talk very often.]

Is finding somewhere safe hard?

[inafadingcrown]

As of late, yes. We are in a time of war and the Enemy grows ever bolder; the roads are not safe.

[f_u_wesker]

Too bad we can't do anything from here.

[inafadingcrown]

It is. [She has a lot of feelings on that subject. Too many. So she just opts to keep her response simple.]

[f_u_wesker]

[And Alice can catch the hint there.]
