[The video feed flips on, focusing (after a few seconds of jostling around) on Galadriel, sitting on the steps of the Initiative Hold, her sheathed sword beside her. Having just finished training, she’s attired appropriately, wearing a simple dress and with her hair braided and wound about her head- displaying those pointed ears quite prominently for those who might have missed them before.]

I grow weary of the constant grey here. It is overlong since I have heard a running stream or seen the sunlight filtered through the forest canopy.

Tell me, those of you who have journeyed outside this city: does greenery yet remain in this world? It would do my heart well even to hear of it.

What part of the "gig" do you not understand?

I mean, why-- or, uh, how'd that even happen? [ because clearly no one is born immortal, right? ]

[Pointed look.] What you see now is a woman wed.

And what I don't see is her husband 'round. Funny how things just work out like that, huh? [ to be real, he's just kidding around. causing someone to cheat has never been his thing...........but with her he can't quite help himself from teasing either. ]

[Possibly because she's a terrible prude, which makes her insanely easy trollbait. Which she is slowly beginning to realize.]

And I have yet to see any who might tempt her to stray.

[ ........WOW OUCH except he kinda deserved that. ]

So prickly.

[And that gets an actual laugh.]

A kinder assessment than some have given.

[ dean can't help the surprise that flashes over his face-- but then he's smirking again soon enough. ]

Some people just can't handle attitude. Too bad for 'em, I think they'll be missin' out.

Hey, for all I know you still steal kids from their beds at night and eat them or something. [ elves, man. you never know. ]

I beg your pardon? [You and Susan are giving her a fast education on other world's mythologies of elves. It's all rather shocking.]
