[The video feed flips on, focusing (after a few seconds of jostling around) on Galadriel, sitting on the steps of the Initiative Hold, her sheathed sword beside her. Having just finished training, she’s attired appropriately, wearing a simple dress and with her hair braided and wound about her head- displaying those pointed ears quite prominently for those who might have missed them before.]

I grow weary of the constant grey here. It is overlong since I have heard a running stream or seen the sunlight filtered through the forest canopy.

Tell me, those of you who have journeyed outside this city: does greenery yet remain in this world? It would do my heart well even to hear of it.

It is strange, the lighting here. [A nod toward whatever electrical light may be in view.] We have nothing like it where I am from. [Which he could probably guess.]

I can only imagine your confusion upon your awakening here. My apologies if I speak in terms you may not understand. I shall do my best to acclimate you and explain the terms and answer any questions you may have.

Not in detail, no. I have learned much from context and from observation, but none have seen fit to teach me such things.

That's a shame. If I may, I would like to teach you. Firstly, an introduction is in order. My name is Lee Chaolan. In my world, I was one of the leading men in the innovations of robotics and cybertechnology. These terms mean that if it can be thought of, I can build it.

Secondly, I don't have the resources yet to build such things. The way this world is presently, my priority is our survival on the whole and I will use my knowledge to aid others.

[In fairness, she had not asked either.

She's a little wary of that claim. "If it can be thought of, I can build it." It reminds her a little too much of Fëanor and the attitude that brought about the Silmarils. But she gives a deep nod and smiles.]

[Thankfully, Lee isn't one of those that would use his technology for domination like his adoptive family would have, that's for sure. He learned his lesson a long time ago.]
