Hello, fellow Transports! I know we're in a bit of a pinch right now what with this super-virus mutating and infecting some of the population, but if you have a minute I've got some questions I'd appreciate some answers to. Some of them may help either now, if we're going to be trying to treat this virus at all, or in the future should anything like this happen again.

What's your name?
Age?
Place of origin? Planet, country, and city of origin would be the most helpful.
Species? If you're anything other than a baseline human, does your biology differ in any notable ways?
What occupation did you have in your world of origin? "Student" and "unemployed" are perfectly valid answers.
Do you have any prior experience with war?
Time travel?
Alternate universes?
Technology at the level the Initiative is operating with?
Do you have any background in medicine?
What about the STEM fields? For anyone who doesn't know, that would be Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
What kind of weapon did you choose upon entrance to Exsilium? If it has a special function, feel free to include that at your discretion.
Have you made use of the Initiative's training areas outside of mandatory training hours?

Feel free to skip any questions you feel are too intrusive, or encrypt things if you would like to answer but would rather not answer to the whole network. Similarly, if you would like to answer but don't trust the Initiative's technology, I can currently be found in the library (the one not in the Hold) and would love to either talk face to face or take answers written elsewhere. And, out of the interest of fairness, I'll give you my own answers to this little survey.

What's your name? Kara Zor-El.
Age? Functionally somewhere around 19/20.
Place of origin? Earth, United States of America, Metropolis. Originally from the planet Krypton.
Species? Kryptonian. We look fairly human on the outside, but our internal organs are vastly different from those of the Homo sapiens sapiens. Radiation from a yellow sun also affects our bodies in ways baseline humans don't experience.
What occupation did you have in your world of origin? Full-time superhero. I've also sold some technology to a business with a large R&D department.
Do you have any prior experience with war? Yes.
Time travel? Yes.
Alternate universes? Sadly, yes.
Technology at the level the Initiative is operating with? Possibly, yes. I haven't had time to analyze all of it.
Do you have any background in medicine? Nothing more than basic first aid, but I'm interested in learning more.
What about the STEM fields? Yes. I was part of the Science Guild back on New Krypton. These days I mostly focus on mechanical and electronic engineering, with astro- and temporal physics being a hobby.
What kind of weapon did you choose upon entrance to Exsilium? A small sphere the functions of which are unknown.
Have you made use of the Initiative's training areas outside of mandatory training hours? I have plans to.

What is your opinion on the Initiative and their missions? I haven't been here long enough to form a complete opinion, but so far I think they're in over their heads a bit. Messing with time is always difficult and usually inadvisable.

Do your magical abilities change your biology in any way that would impede doctors used to treating only those without abilities, should you ever need medical attention?

Unless someone's magic specifically changes their physical make up, our biology is exactly the same as a human. If there is some physical component different between those with magic and those without, it is yet to be discovered.

Then that answers your question; I refuse to interact with the Initiative beyond missions. I won't even use their armory.

Then I'm sorry for you and your world. That sounds pretty sucky. What's the point of being a hero if you're not going to care about the people you're protecting, or whether or not the bad guy is actually going to get punished?

Of course there is, it's just generally not found in people who think that dressing up in a bright costume to do a job the police were doing anyway is an acceptable use of power.

In my world, we handle what the police can't. Aliens, mystical forces, metahumans, etc. We have power to help, we care for the people, and if we don't, who else will?

Or has it occured to you that if you worked with the police, you wouldn't have to bother with all that unnecessary superhero nonsense? It seems as though superheroes spend the majority of their time stopping simple bank robberies or museum heists (or occasionally the mess of egos that is a hero/villain clash) when their powers can be used much more effectively in other ways.

1.) They are learning to look after themselves. They're developing technology that gives them a chance without us, but it's a slow process. I hope someday they don't need us.

2.) We do work with the police, on a variety of levels.

3.) The way my world functions seems very different from yours, and I'd thank you to stop trying to force your worldviews somewhere they don't fit in an attempt to discredit me, make me feel guilty for my chosen role, or both.

I'm not trying to be condescending, I'm simply stating facts. You, on the other hand, are coming across as very condescending simply because I'm something that, in your world, is basically a member of a self-righteous, douchebaggy, good old boys' club.

I'd be interested in learning about differences between universes, but not if you're going to be dismissive of the way my world works. It may not function perfectly, but it's my home, and I love it and the people I work with more than it's possible to put into words.

You seem to have acclimatized quite quickly.

Dead, mostly. I leave the relatively harmless ones alone, but I don't have much patience for people who try nonsense like death rays or poisoning the water supply.

I've done this before. When I came to Earth, when I ended up in an alternate universe, and when I ended up in the future. You sort of get used to it after a while.
