Hello, fellow Transports! I know we're in a bit of a pinch right now what with this super-virus mutating and infecting some of the population, but if you have a minute I've got some questions I'd appreciate some answers to. Some of them may help either now, if we're going to be trying to treat this virus at all, or in the future should anything like this happen again.
Feel free to skip any questions you feel are too intrusive, or encrypt things if you would like to answer but would rather not answer to the whole network. Similarly, if you would like to answer but don't trust the Initiative's technology, I can currently be found in the library (the one not in the Hold) and would love to either talk face to face or take answers written elsewhere. Look for the blonde in the Metropolis University sweatshirt. Any and all private communication will be kept completely confidential and is only to satisfy my own curiosity. Thank you in advance for any answers!
And, out of the interest of fairness, I'll give you my own answers to this little survey.
[ ooc | here, have a textbox with the survey in it to make filling it out easier! ]
What's your name?
Age?
Place of origin? Planet, country, and city of origin would be the most helpful.
Species? If you're anything other than a baseline human, does your biology differ in any notable ways?
What occupation did you have in your world of origin? "Student" and "unemployed" are perfectly valid answers.
Do you have any prior experience with war?
Time travel?
Alternate universes?
Technology at the level the Initiative is operating with?
Do you have any background in medicine?
What about the STEM fields? For anyone who doesn't know, that would be Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.
What kind of weapon did you choose upon entrance to Exsilium? If it has a special function, feel free to include that at your discretion.
Have you made use of the Initiative's training areas outside of mandatory training hours?
If you answered no to the above, why not?
What is your opinion on the Initiative and their missions?

What's your name? Kara Zor-El.
Age? Functionally somewhere around 19/20.
Place of origin? Earth, United States of America, Metropolis. Originally from the planet Krypton.
Species? Kryptonian. We look fairly human on the outside, but our internal organs are vastly different from those of the Homo sapiens sapiens. Radiation from a yellow sun also affects our bodies in ways baseline humans don't experience.
What occupation did you have in your world of origin? Full-time superhero. I've also sold some technology to a business with a large R&D department.
Do you have any prior experience with war? Yes.
Time travel? Yes.
Alternate universes? Sadly, yes.
Technology at the level the Initiative is operating with? Possibly, yes. I haven't had time to analyze all of it.
Do you have any background in medicine? Nothing more than basic first aid, but I'm interested in learning more.
What about the STEM fields? Yes. I was part of the Science Guild back on New Krypton. These days I mostly focus on mechanical and electronic engineering, with astro- and temporal physics being a hobby.
What kind of weapon did you choose upon entrance to Exsilium? A small sphere the functions of which are unknown.
Have you made use of the Initiative's training areas outside of mandatory training hours? I have plans to.
If you answered no to the above, why not? N/A
What is your opinion on the Initiative and their missions? I haven't been here long enough to form a complete opinion, but so far I think they're in over their heads a bit. Messing with time is always difficult and usually inadvisable.

What's your name? Ellie Linton
Age? seventeen
Place of origin? Wirrawee, Australia circa. 1994.
Species? homo sapiens sapiens
What occupation did you have in your world of origin? student, and my parents and I ran a farm, breeding sheep and shearing. After that, you can pen me in as a freedom fighter or terrorist, depending who you ask. “Soldier” is a bit too formal, I reckon.
Do you have any prior experience with war? Yes.
Time travel? No.
Alternate universes? No.
Technology at the level the Initiative is operating with? No.
Do you have any background in medicine? No.
What about the STEM fields? High school maths and science, plus improvised explosives.
What kind of weapon did you choose upon entrance to Exsilium? First an AK-47, and now it's yours truly.
Have you made use of the Initiative's training areas outside of mandatory training hours? Yes.
If you answered no to the above, why not? -
What is your opinion on the Initiative and their missions? I don't like them, but I don't want to see any other worlds go under.

Speaking of, how are you feeling?
no subject
I feel kind of like I'm been through a cement mixer, actually. Tough and gritty.
( That was terrible, Ellie. No, she actually feels like death, but EGOS. )
no subject
Can you say gross? But, grossness aside, do you need anything?
no subject
"Gross" sums it up pretty well.
I'd sell my soul for a crossword puzzle, actually. I don't know if they even have those here.
( is she being obnoxious? is this a genuine request? both )

no subject
( are you making fun of her Kara she doesn't know what to do with this )
no subject
I knew I'd have to apologise for her eventually
What if they jump?
aslkjdfal oh my god ellie
I haven't actually had to deal with jumpers. Usually, my cousin tries to catch them if he can't get to them before they jump and try to talk them down.
cw: death & suicide ( head in hands eternally)
Then again, I don't know if anyone should have life or death in their hands. Theirs or anyone else's, if there's some line that exists. If killing to defend yourself or someone else is okay, because life is the thing we're meant to value the most, then what's the other end of the scale like? If you kill yourself to save someone else, where does that lie? Would you stop someone, if they were doing it for bigger, grander reason?
( She's hitting too many of her own raw nerves, thinking about Robyn, about Chris, about Lee and how recklessly he'd thought about throwing all their lives away in the name of his own revenge. She can try to be optimistic all she wants, find that girl she was before the war, but all these things are still there.
A few moments later, Ellie is rubbing her forehead and knowing she's going to regret that message. )
It was a stupid question. I'm delirious, or something.

It's fine. Sickness does weird things to people.
