It's a drink. I find it nice and soothing. It's really the best in cold weather, 'cause it's hot and you can sit and hold the cup and let the heat warm you up, but it's good for sittin' and talking shit over too.

[Then he scurries back to the kitchenette to stir. True to his word he's done a couple minutes later and comes over with a couple mugs full of muddy-purple hot chocolate. It's exactly how Kanji remembers Eridan liking it from the castle, right down to the food coloring.]

He wants to help but hell if he knows how. He bites his lip for a moment, staring into his own cup. Finally he decides that he might as well just be honest.]
