[ The camera cuts on, and Jude stares at it for a few seconds. He hesitates, before leaping right into what he wanted to discuss here. ]
I realize because of our actions while we were stuck on the moonbase that we've changed things here on Earth, but just because the environment in Exsilium is different I think the chances are pretty high that the United Earth will come after us again now that we're back on the planet. And as far as I know we don't actually have any reliable means of uncovering any plots against us. There's no telling when and how they'll strike, and even if there was... do we even have any plans ourselves on how to deal with it? Unless we have advance warning and several days to move people back up to the moon I haven't heard about any ways to protect the Transports from the United Earth.
Besides that, I can't be the only one that would like to think of a defense plan that would protect the citizens of Exsilium as well.

[ Grin fades as he gets serious again. ]
And no, I haven't spoken to every Transport here, so I'm not sure there's any way to know something like that, but if anyone has any sort of ability that could help us either spy on the United Earth so we can be ready for the attacks, or protect the people here when an attack does come then I hope they'll be willing to step up. I appreciate the fact that you are.

Exsilium is an island, so the United Earth's attacks will be coming from the air and sea. We will need an anti-navy force. I can provide it.

The ocean is my domain. [ Wow, that sounded so cool. She's keeping that in mind for future use. ] As long as there is water, I can sink an empire's entire fleet! Show me the shore and I can give you a demonstration.

It might take while to get there, but if you're serious about that demonstration I'd like to see what you're capable of.

[ And... she ends the feed there without waiting for more details. She arrives earlier than Jude, mumbling something to herself. She seems to be rehearsing for their first conversation. ]

Oh! Ah, i-it's fine. [ She straightens up, clears her throat— ] Well then, shall we go? I am not familiar with the area... I only arrived in the moon base this month.

I can't pretend I know it a lot better. I was only here for about a month before we all moved up to the moonbase, and even then everything here looked different.
[ A pause. ]
I had maps of the place I did get a chance to study when I first arrived though, so assuming there isn't any surprises in store for us, I think I can at least lead us to the coast and back again.
[ Just to try to be a little reassuring there. ]

[ Kougyoku, there are other surprises than that! Despite her confidence, she still looks... stiff. ]

I've had enough experience fighting the monsters in my world that I think I could handle that if it came down to it, so there's no need to worry about that. You can conserve your energy. I'm more concerned about any changes in the terrain that'd make it hard to pass.

Oh, no. I did not. The [ palace, she almost slips ] city I grew up in was inland. I do love the sea, though. It's very nice.
