[ The camera cuts on, and Jude stares at it for a few seconds. He hesitates, before leaping right into what he wanted to discuss here. ]

I realize because of our actions while we were stuck on the moonbase that we've changed things here on Earth, but just because the environment in Exsilium is different I think the chances are pretty high that the United Earth will come after us again now that we're back on the planet. And as far as I know we don't actually have any reliable means of uncovering any plots against us. There's no telling when and how they'll strike, and even if there was... do we even have any plans ourselves on how to deal with it? Unless we have advance warning and several days to move people back up to the moon I haven't heard about any ways to protect the Transports from the United Earth.

Besides that, I can't be the only one that would like to think of a defense plan that would protect the citizens of Exsilium as well.

Oh, no. I did not. The [ palace, she almost slips ] city I grew up in was inland. I do love the sea, though. It's very nice.

Really? I wouldn't have guessed that, you sounded very familiar with the sea.

I spent some time in an island country. My weapon allows me to manipulate water, so I had the opportunity to use it there.

You don't say... so this was a weapon you had before coming to Exsilium?

Yes. It's called a metal vessel. Metal vessels contain djinn, and my djinn lends me its power to fight. I worked hard for it!

[ Lends powers to fight? The terminology is new, but... ]

I think I can understand the concept. It sounds similar to the system in my world where people get help from the spirits.

Spirits? I've heard of a world like that from another Transport. I wonder if they are the same... Is anyone from your world here?
