i have some questions

1. how many people out there are musicians

2. would anyone be interested in playing in a band

3. is there even enough good instruments in this hellhole for us to form a real rock band

All i got is my acoustic guitar. I'd sell a kidney for a good working electric guitar and amp, but i can live with this. i can sing too, depending on the music. i don't write it b/c i'm shitty with lyrics and stuff but i know enough other songs it'll make your head spin. i'm the king of cover songs. but if the instruments are out there and you're interested get back to me. my name's johnny. idk it might be a stupid idea but i'm bored here a lot and didn't really know any other musicians back home so it might be cool to chill with some here. collaborate. stuff like that. we might even be able to get some gigs around town. i play at Nora Cafe and a few other places if you're interested in hearing what i can do, first.

Stop by the NORA cafe or one of the bars in town some night when he's playing. He's actually pretty good! He's a fiercely fast player, and his voice is best suited to the hard rock and punk covers he sings - low and gravelly. Once he's done his set, he stops to grab a drink. Care to join?]

I know one guy who plays piano, another girl who tells me she sings, and a guy who plays... a buncha stuff. Voice, pianos, some kinda Japanese harp thing... Hard enough just gettin' guitar right. I dunno how people can do so much.

People can do anything if they put their minds to it, with a nice amount of effort. They do things because they can, and in some cases... [An idle flick of her hair.] It's because they can't stand not doing anything.

I guess do, huh. Some people work hard, but some got natural talent too. [Yeah, he's a little jealous. He only shrugs though.]

I'm cool with just guitar, I guess. It's pretty versatile. I'm waiting for the day I can find am electric one here. I don't think it'll ever happen, but a guy can dream.

But some people also happen to possess both of those qualities. Don't forget that.

Good luck finding a decent store that sells electric guitars, or even the most updated equipment. They don't seem to exist here.

Heh. Yeah, true.

I ain't holdin' my breath. I'm just happy when I can manage to find new guitar strings. I actually brought some back with me from the old west town we went to. I'm kickin' it super old school.

Guitar strings, hmm? That reminds me, I wonder if we can find people who create instruments out of scratch. More guitars for musicians, right? That'd be great!
