First things first - Initiative? Really? Come on, couldn'tcha be at least a little original? I mean I'm having a serious case of been there, done that. And for the record? Not really looking forward to doing it again. I've had the tour, I've seen the shinies - and I'll say again. Not interested. Opposite of interested. Me and freaky government strongholds go way back. We had a very hot and heavy relationship, but we're seeing other people now, and both of us are better for it. So, second thing? If you could just, you know - help a girl out and point me toward the nearest exit? That'd be real peachy. Failing that? I'm not your strong-arm. You can't control me. Don't even try.

[ It sounds like she's done, but then there's rustling, and she comes back. ]

Well, we're... connected. More than most siblings are. [ This could lead into some really awkward conversations. ]

I get that. [Dean and he, their bond...nobody else could understand it, or at least that's what he always used to feel like.] My whole life, my brother's been everything I've had.

Well, your family's probably a little twisted. It's what fighting monsters does to people.

[ Oh. Well. Everything she has isn't quite... how she'd define it. ] It's not just that. She -- wasn't always real. The memories are there. All of them, from her birth to when she actually existed. It's... kinda complicated. Also a long story that leads up to that Hell-God I mentioned.

[He frowns, trying to follow]

What do you mean when she actually existed?

Dawn wasn't always... Dawn. She used to be a big ball of energy, called the Key. Long story short, she isn't really -- I mean, my parents didn't make her. My mom didn't give birth to her. This group of monks were trying to hide her from the Hell-God - her name was Glory - so she couldn't rip universes and dimensions apart. If she got her hands on the Key, she would open -- did open -- a crack in all dimensions, they'd bleed together, and all worlds everywhere would end. So... This group of monks, chosen to protect the Key... They made her. Out of me. And sent her to me, to protect. In the form of a sister. Memories and everything, fabricated. She always felt like my real sister. She felt real to my Mom. And she really is my sister. But she didn't always exist. So our connection... It's physical. Sort of. Because she's a part of me. Like, big on the literal. [ Then she realizes that she's just babbling and spilling her guts and she bursts out in awkward laughter. ]

Like you really care all that much. Sorry.

No - no, I do. I'm not sure I entirely get it but - that had to be rough - if you have all the memories...to learn that they weren't real -

[He thinks back of all his years with Dean - Dean telling him how to hit on girls, Dean making him dinner, stealing Christmas presents for him, dressing his wounds, driving him to school dances, helping him with his homework...all the good times...they were there weren't they? He didn't just imagine them. Even though things are bad now - there were good times.]

It was hard. Really... Really hard. It took some serious getting used to, once I found out. Things were rough. But... it turned out okay. And we don't really talk about it anymore. And I generally don't think about it all that much. Because she's my sister. And after my mom died, she's my responsibility. So.

[ Yep. You're lucky all of yours are real. ]

Plus, the last few years have all been real. And it all feels real. Like it really happened.

[Suddenly all he wants to do is call Dean back - or better yet just go over to his place - and talk it out. Find a way. Because they're brothers, right? That's gotta be all that matters. They've been through a lot of crap together and yeah ok, Dean's been through some extra crap on his own. But that doesn't mean they can't bridge that gap. It can't mean that.]

She's your sister. [He nods] When it comes down to it, that's all that matters.

I'd die for her. Have, actually. [ She'll give details later, or if he asks, but for now that's sufficient enough information she thinks. ]

[While they have been sharing an unusual amount of feelings they did just meet so it doesn't feel like his place to ask about it just yet, even if she did bring it up.]

Definitely know how that feels.
