[ This lady's looking a little different, for anyone that's spoken with her before. Not any older, but there's a sort of crooked quality to her nose, like it'd been broken and healed some time ago. She's lounging in the Initiative apartments, looking like she's recently made friends with a superiority complex. ]

I want to speak to those of you who have seen a war before. Not the skirmishes that the Initiative sends us on here, but actual war.

And failing that, I'll take anyone that knows magic — and can teach it. That part is important. Don't waste my time if all you can do is cast it.

I've certainly seen war. I'm not so sure I can teach you my magic, I'm afraid.

[It's not all that uncommon for Kang to only occasionally see his roommates. By now he's pretty sure Lord Prestor is gone, and he's quite thankful for it; he was just starting to think that maybe Onyx had gone home as well. I have witnessed and taken part in three major wars and many other conflicts, major and minor throughout the years.

[ He leaves the magic side of things untouched for now, that he would have to get a better idea of the individual in question. ]

Perhaps first you should tell us why you want to hear such stories.

Is there something specific you wish to know about a war we've been in?

I've been in wars and battles most of me life, Miss. [ A bit wryly. ] What'd you like ta know 'bout 'em?

[The speaker's voice is very soft, raspy from disuse, and spoken in almost a complete montone.]

I have experience in both - only, for the magic, it depends on what you want to do specifically.

That would depend on what you wish to be taught, and if you have any capacity for magic in the first place.

Two wars, one of them as a 'commando', the other training slave to rise up against their masters. Perhaps not so honorable, but a vorpal strike to an army can be more damaging than a full-on battle.

[Loki presses his fingertips together and smiles a wistful smile]

I am no stranger to warfare. Where I hail from we are bred as warriors from the proverbial egg. I have fought in wars that have torn apart nations, turned brother against brother, and sunk entire worlds.

[At this last, the smile turns into a slight frown.]

And as for magic... What is it you wish to know....?

What would you need to talk about to someone who's seen war?

There's nothing less actual about what happens off the battlefield, you know.
