[ it's been a month and mithos has gotten pretty situated here. however, other than getting used to the new place when he could (aka when they're not being transported somewhere else) he hasn't really ... done much else.

and that has included meeting others and getting to know them. and now that the person he really knew from back home seemed to have been avoiding him a week or so ago he feels... lonely.

perhaps a bit more than he should. and within that a pile of other emotions that come with it. he's doing a good job trying to suppress them but it's only a matter of time.

but as an attempt to rid of them, a question. ]

How easy is it for some of you to make friends? Or even become acquainted with someone. I know some people find it easier than others, so if you find it easy what is it that makes it easy for you?

[ he already somewhat knows the answer to the other side of the question. and there is always the 'i don't care' answer but that is one he doesn't want to hear right now.

And what do you do when you're alone with no one to talk to.

[ because he certainly feels like he has no one to talk to right now. maybe it's partially why he's making this? ]

Friendship is a rather difficult achievement to gain, though I must admit that after some time, it is easier once you adjust. It took me some time considering that I too am alone from my world, or a version of it.

What matters most to you is what you are willing to do to achieve friendship. One doesn't simply sit in a corner and wait for one to appear. That would be unrealistic. It takes work and sacrifice...a compromise, if you will.

It's pretty easy, and it should be easy for anyone! You just have to go out there and get to know people. I don't think I've actually felt alone in a long time, there's always your roommates, or you already figure out the network!

What if you have trouble stepping forward and speaking to people due to past experiences?

It's always been really hard for me. At least, until I came here. Back home, I had to hide who I was, and people thought I was weird anyway.

I've been alone a lot. I tend to read and write poetry.

What is it about this place that makes it easier than where you come from? [ the people here do seem to not care about what you are but ... is that all it was? ]

Reading seems to be a common thing to do. Do you know if there is a place to pick up books here?

When I'm alone, I paint. Two people who are very important to me paint, so I guess you could say it makes me feel like I'm not alone at all.

As for making acquaintances, I'd say it's pretty easy for me! For me, it's all about just talking to them and reaching out! [...] I'll admit that it's been a little hard for me to feel like I can get friends here, but that really hasn't stopped me from trying~

I just try. I like people, so why not get to know them? Listen to their stories, figure out more about them over time. It's fun!

Usually I try to find someone to talk to, or... I get lost in daydreams. Read sometimes, surf the internet, once I built a toy model but after getting that model glue stuck to my hand and the exacto knife I sort of figured maybe models weren't for me!

Daydreaming? They're a good way to escape reality. I've never heard of the internet. Some thing aren't for everyone. I've never crafted anything, but my sister has.

Curiosity is what makes it easy, I think. Everyone has a story to tell and they're all fascinating, no matter how long or short. It's amazing how different our experiences can be. Don't you think so?

And when I'm alone, well, I like to walk outside. That way, I'm still around people even if I'm not talking to them. It feels less lonely.

[The guilt instantly flares up upon seeing this post. Dammit, his behavior towards Mithos had been unacceptable. This isn't some megalomaniac bent on ressurecting a dead woman; this is the young boy who managed to save the world.

Rather than further placing blame on himself, Kratos decides to do something which might actually help the situation. He'd nearly ruined his relationship with Mithos once. It wasn't happening again, not after seeing how badly Mithos had been affected.]

...I owe you an explanation regarding my behavior the previous week, should you desire it.

[ The moment he heard Kratos' voice the feelings that he was doing well to suppress were suddenly really hard to do so. He was the reason why he felt so lonely. He was so cold, so ... unlike who he knew.

It was a while until he replied. A part of him did want to hear the explanation. But part of him didn't want to. he was scared to. What if it just made things worse?
