[ it's been a month and mithos has gotten pretty situated here. however, other than getting used to the new place when he could (aka when they're not being transported somewhere else) he hasn't really ... done much else.

and that has included meeting others and getting to know them. and now that the person he really knew from back home seemed to have been avoiding him a week or so ago he feels... lonely.

perhaps a bit more than he should. and within that a pile of other emotions that come with it. he's doing a good job trying to suppress them but it's only a matter of time.

but as an attempt to rid of them, a question. ]

How easy is it for some of you to make friends? Or even become acquainted with someone. I know some people find it easier than others, so if you find it easy what is it that makes it easy for you?

[ he already somewhat knows the answer to the other side of the question. and there is always the 'i don't care' answer but that is one he doesn't want to hear right now.

there is a small pause ]

And what do you do when you're alone with no one to talk to.

[ because he certainly feels like he has no one to talk to right now. maybe it's partially why he's making this? ]

Ahhh, I-I'm not that great, but if you really want to hear it I can play it sometime... And I guess not, if you're there. But it's better someone there than to be alone in the first place, right?

Well, kindness doesn't always work. Not even when you try your best to do something out of the kindness of your heart ...

Like I said, I'd love to hear. And yeah, it's way better to have someone there than be by yourself. You have someone cheering you on that way, too!

...mn, yeah. I know. [She's seen a lot of the nicer people she knows get hurt that way, but she still envies them for walking forward regardless.] I think it'd work on the majority here, though.

Then ... maybe the next time we meet in person I can play it for you. [ because playing it on the video doesn't seem as... personal? or rather she wouldn't actually be there ] I always carry it with me.

Thanks, it's been a while since I've actually been able to sing to anyone. I don't do it as much now as I did as a kid, when I sang my little sisters to sleep.

It must have been nice. This might... be a different experience for both of us. I had only played the panpipe when I'm with my sister.

Your sister, huh? What's she like?

She's really nice! She's always willing to help others, even if they don't want to be helped by us and she's always there for me. She's beautiful too!

... I... I really miss her.

It's only natural to miss your family, right? I miss my sisters, too. Not just my little sisters, but my own big sister as well. She doesn't live with us, so I don't get to see her as often.

[She thinks back to the day that Sera declared that she was moving out, traveling the country on her motorcycle. Tori understands why Sera needed to escape, and she doesn't resent her for it. But she sometimes wishes that Sera had just stayed.]

She is. I can't imagine what I'd do if I lost her.

[ He couldn't see himself living with her by his side at all. ]

It is. I hope one day we'll have the chance to see them again. Either here or back from where we came.

[ He has mixed opinions on Martel coming here. The biggest issue it is being a war here and they had just ended a war back home. But on the other hand this place seemed more acceptable of their kind ... ]
