Well, it's not much, but at least there's some direction. And it gets you away from the things going down in your... world for awhile.

[Yeah, the whole 'world' thing is a pretty new concept. Not quite sure how he feels about that one.

And really, not that he's generally one to look on the bright side- but where Isaac comes from, getting away from his world means getting away from the 99% of the population that seemed to want to kill him at any given moment. And with the added bonus of the whole missing-slash-fugitive status gone? It's enough to at least give this place the benefit of a doubt.]

So I got the official story- what's it actually like here?

Anyway, welcome to -- un, I guess Exsilium. Future London! Where paper's a precious resource and technology's barely made it out of the 90's into the early 2000's in most cases. Totally weird, if you ask me. I'm Collette! As far as what it's actually like here, that depends on what's happening at the time. It can be really exciting. Oh, and dangerous, or ridiculous, like most anywhere else, only we've got a built in mega dictatorship happening off the island and we're brought in to work dangerous plans in time by a group that seriously doesn't seem to know what it's doing.

Is everyone else here an idiot, or do I just attract people like that?

I don't know, could be a little of both! But really, people aren't dumb for the most part. They're just not sure what to focus on, and talking on this network is one of the few we mostly have figured out. Which means everyone shows off their worst and brightest at different times. Lately there's been more of the worse and less of the best, I guess.

You mentioned monsters. What kind of monsters are we talking about?

[ when the familiar face appears on camera, it's clear scott's trying to stay serious, but he can't reign in the genuine smile at seeing another... well, friend's not quite the right word, but someone else from home who he's pretty sure he can trust.

what he really wants to do is ask isaac about a million questions about his arrival and what's going on back home, but now isn't really time. maybe in like, two seconds, after he answers a few of isaac's questions. ]

Well, so far it's pretty boring... actually, really boring compared to home.

[And Isaac actually- kind of maybe smiles at Scott in return because hey, they sort of became friends over the last few days in their world. At the very least, he's a little more comfortable with him here.]

[Rolling his shoulder, trying to consider if that was a good or bad thing. Most likely good (comparatively anyway), he was getting tired of people repeatedly trying to kill him, but he had to admit that he wanted some action.]

[ scott, meanwhile, is perfectly happy to not have danger lurking around every corner. his biggest issue with this place is that he's here, and the other people he cares about aren't - and he has no idea if they're in trouble back home. logic would say yes. ]

Neither did I. [ he pauses a second, either because something occurred to him or he's considering whether to share - probably both. ] Stiles is here, too. Otherwise it's just us.

Also, I should maybe take back that 'boring'. There is some seriously weird shit going on here. [ like elves and zombies and mages, sometimes all in one. his expression turns serious, and he leans a bit closer to the screen (as if that'll make any difference if these calls are monitored). ] ... and I think there might be hunters.

[ as opposed to scott, stiles is a little less welcoming—even though, out of the three possible sour pack kids, isaac is probably the least likely to cause any serious trouble. unlike, say, erica. or derek, even though he's not technically a sour pack ki—okay, you know what? he doesn't care. ]

[It's okay dude, because that sentiment is sort of returned in that Isaac doesn't really immediately react to seeing Stiles' lovely face grace the screen of his netbook. Like Stiles though, Isaac is fairly sure that there could be a lot worse people from his world here and hey, at least he's human and Isaac can kick his little human butt if he needs to.

Have a tight smile though, because he's sort of been at least trying to not be a royal dick to everyone recently. It's kind of been working.]

Right. I'll be sure to keep all of that in mind.

I should have known you two would be here together. [Seriously, Stiles and Scott are pretty much conjoined twins at this point. He'd probably be more surprised if Stiles wasn't here.]
