Um.

[The video feed kicks on at some ungodly hour during the night and finds Isaac- or, more accurately, the faint outline of Isaac. The world around him is dark, but for what it's worth, he seems to be outside. In the snow.

The first thing you'd probably notice is that he isn't dressed for it at all. Isaac is actually pretty much wearing a t-shirt, fabric pajama pants, and has no shoes or socks to speak of. He's drenched, shivering something awful, and seems to be rather in the middle of nowhere.]

I could use a little help. [His teeth chatter as he speaks. Not fun.] Is anyone awake? I just kind of... woke up here a few minutes ago. So, uh- a jacket or a way home would be nice.

[[ooc: Isaac's weapon is sort of in the process of leveling up and as a result, he's sleepwalkin'. Anyone is welcome to find him! c:]]

[He huddles a bit tighter.]

Are you still in bed?

Good point. And yeah. I heard you get up but I figured...

[he shrugs. bathroom or something. he's still squinty, but he's getting out of bed now, dropping the tablet and moving in and out of frame as he pulls on clothes. and it's obvious from the jerky haste of his movements that he's more worried than the squint and slur of his voice would indicate.]

Pretty sure I can find you. Didn't happen to put on shoes before you went out, did you?

[Isaac shakes his head sadly into the video feed, curling up a little tighter.]

Think the whole werewolf healing thing works on frostbite?

It worked on zombie rot, it'll work on frostbite.

[he does a pretty good job of sounding like he has any goddamned idea how isaac's healing really works, like isaac shouldn't even worry about it.]

All the same, bringing your boots. And socks, because I'm the generous sort.

[he's just talking to make noise while he shoves outdoor things into a bag, putting on all of the heaviest and warmest pieces himself.]

Can you track me in this? It's like negative eighty degrees out and I can't even sniff out my trail in the snow.

[But yes, please be bringing his boots and socks.]

Do I look like a wolf to you right now, rikonoro? It's not tracking, but I can find you. Don't worry about that.

[and out the door he goes.]

You gonna stay awake if I'm not talking to you? Not really up for carrying your ass home.

I slept the entire way out here, you know. I don't really think that sleeping is high on the list of things to worry about.

Hypothermia makes you sleepy.

[peter closes his eyes and takes a breath, looking for all the world like he's listening for something. then he turns and starts walking at a fairly rapid clip.]

Oh my god, if I actually freeze to death out here, I'm going to be so embarrassed.

[But he shifts where he's sitting on the snow, pulling his legs up so he can rub at the bottoms of his feet.]

You're not that far away, jesus. At least I don't think so.

[he glances back down at the screen again.]

And we've had the whole talk about you dying.

Yeah, yeah.

[He shakes his head, trying not to let his teeth chatter.]

...damn. This is the kind of thing that crazy people do.

Pretty sure plenty of non-crazy people sleepwalk. And now I know not to just roll over if you get out of bed in the middle of the night. Not a huge deal.

Pretty sure that non-crazy people don't sleepwalk for miles.

[He sighs.]

While thinking they're wolves.

...wait, back up. Wolf-wolf, or wicked sideburns wolf?

[He sort of groans.]

I'm not jealous of you or anything. This isn't a manifestation of jealousy.

If you were gonna be jealous of me I think you'd have done that on the moon, when it made sense.

Ever had a dream like that before?

[because to peter, isaac's wolf isn't very literally lupine.]

[He huffs a little, before shrugging.]

When Derek first bit me, before I got control over it. But it was different then- I was still me.

Okay.

[he thinks on that for a minute as he starts getting out to where the buildings abruptly thin and the treeline starts creeping in. he passes a tree, then stops, closes his eyes, and adjusts his path a bit.]

And this time you weren't you?

I don't think so, no.

[Isaac shakes his head.]

It was just a dream, though.

Yeah. Just talking to talk.

[that's not precisely true, but peter doesn't have any idea what the dream could actually mean. he just thinks it might mean something.]

Found your trail. Can you see the treeline at all or are you real far in?

I can't see much of anything in this light.

[He sighs.]

I think the trees might be... that way. I can hear the wind breaking through them, but it's pretty far away.

Okay. Are you just out in the middle of nothin'?

[he's stopped again, eyes closed, like he's listening.]

Basically. I could- uh, make some noise. If that would help.

[He sort of cringes as he says it.]

Only if we're the only things out here. This is no night for pissing off the local wildlife.

[he turns again, and his walking gets less steady as he leaves the trail isaac already made.]

Wind's at my back, blowing toward you, so you might smell me before I see you.

Alright. I'll walk toward it then.

[He grunts and forces himself to stand up.]

Need to get the blood flowing a bit.
