Um.

[The video feed kicks on at some ungodly hour during the night and finds Isaac- or, more accurately, the faint outline of Isaac. The world around him is dark, but for what it's worth, he seems to be outside. In the snow.

The first thing you'd probably notice is that he isn't dressed for it at all. Isaac is actually pretty much wearing a t-shirt, fabric pajama pants, and has no shoes or socks to speak of. He's drenched, shivering something awful, and seems to be rather in the middle of nowhere.]

I could use a little help. [His teeth chatter as he speaks. Not fun.] Is anyone awake? I just kind of... woke up here a few minutes ago. So, uh- a jacket or a way home would be nice.

[[ooc: Isaac's weapon is sort of in the process of leveling up and as a result, he's sleepwalkin'. Anyone is welcome to find him! c:]]

Basically. I could- uh, make some noise. If that would help.

[He sort of cringes as he says it.]

Only if we're the only things out here. This is no night for pissing off the local wildlife.

[he turns again, and his walking gets less steady as he leaves the trail isaac already made.]

Wind's at my back, blowing toward you, so you might smell me before I see you.

Alright. I'll walk toward it then.

[He grunts and forces himself to stand up.]

Need to get the blood flowing a bit.

Good idea.

[it then occurs to peter that he's got cigarettes in his pocket, and while isaac is getting himself on his feet he tucks his tablet under his arm and manages to get one lit.]

That might help.

[possibly isaac will never have been so glad to smell cigarette smoke.]

[It makes his nose wrinkle almost immediately and Isaac sighs before making his way out toward where the smoke is coming from.]

You're ridiculous. Light another match? I saw the fire.

Don't call the man who has your clothes ridiculous, rikonoro.

[he hangs the cigarette in his mouth so that he can flick his lighter again. It's a zippo, so once it lights it stays, as long as it's not right in the wind.]

Is that a threat?

[Isaac is starting to make his way toward Peter now that he can see the flicker of light, and after a moment he shuts off the video feed and grins easy at the other man as he comes into view.

Or at least, tries to. His lips are definitely a little blue and his teeth are chattering. Best get those clothes.]

...hey. ['No, I wasn't just about to freeze to death, look how nonchalant I am.']

Hey.

[perhaps surprisingly, the first thing peter does when they meet up is to take off the jacket he's wearing, which is the nicer of the two, and hands it over.]

Warmed it up for you.

[the nonchalance is faked, kind of worse than usual. he puts on the jacket from the bag and then pulls out a heavy pair of sweatpants that isaac can put on right over his pajamas, as well as his boots and socks.]

Thanks.

[Isaac doesn't fight it, mostly because he could use the body heat right about now. He slips into the coat easily, zipping it up in front and immediately shoving his hands in his pockets. He'll take the sweatpants in a minute, but for now he needs to make his fingers not quite as stiff.]

My hero.

Don't you know it.

[he pulls off his gloves, tucking them into his pocket for the moment and draping the other clothes in the crook of his elbow.]

Here, gimme your hands a minute.

[He's at loathe to pull him out of his pockets, but he does anyway, holding them out for Peter. They're a little stiff, sort of unhealthily pale right now. Isaac bites his lip.]

I figure when they warm up, I'll start healing whatever damage has been done.

[He doesn't even want to think about his feet.]

[peter's not thinking about isaac's feet, or looking at them, because this is not really the time for him to not be calm. he cups isaac's hands gently between his hands, lifts them to his mouth and breathes on them. he's warm from exertion, and the heat of his breath is probably the warmest thing they've got at the moment short of tucking isaac's hands into his armpits, which is a little too weird.]

[Isaac looks a little startled at that but he lets him do what he will. After a moment, the heat starts really getting into his joints and Isaac winces as the feeling comes back into his fingers and, of course, registers pain. His hands curl tightly and he swallows hard, trying to avoid the kneejerk reaction of yanking his fingers back.]

Ow.

Sorry.

[when isaac clenches his hands peter's hands squeeze just a little in anticipation of him pulling away. but he doesn't, so peter keeps breathing on his hands until isaac's fingers are red instead of that bloodless pale.]

You can have my gloves too. Should heal pretty quick once it can, right?

I- are you sure?

[Isaac obviously needs them more than Peter right now, so he takes them without waiting for an affirmation, hissing in through his teeth, before nodding.]

Yeah. I can feel it healing. [Thank fuck for that. The sweatpants come next and Isaac tugs them gingerly up his legs, trying to ignore how his toes are paper white and almost waxy-looking.

This isn't going to be fun.]

Good. I have yours in the bag for me.

[in spite of himself peter glances down at isaac's feet and then away again. that's gonna hurt, he's pretty sure, it's gonna hurt really bad. he takes a slow breath in through his nose and hands isaac socks and then begins loosening the laces on the boots so he can slide his feet in as easily as possible.]

...right.

[He takes a deep breath and reaches out to wrap an arm around Peter's shoulders for balance as he slowly lifts a foot and dries it off against his opposite calf, before slowly pulling the sock on. Isaac's arm yanks a little against Peter's shoulder, trying to stay upright as he lowers his foot into the boot with a high pitched whimper that he'll never admit to making.]

Oh fuck, Peter. [It's only just started- and only with the one foot- but his fingers curl against Peter's arm, sharp nails accidentally cutting through his shirt as the thawing and healing process begins.]

[peter puts his arms around isaac's waist as soon as he wobbles, holding him upright and ignoring the claws pricking against his skin. good thing he's not wearing the nicer jacket anymore.]

It's all right, Isaac. It's gonna hurt like all fuck and then it'll be done and you'll be good as new.

[it's stupid and pointless, but peter is still rubbing isaac's side with one hand like it's even possible to soothe someone through something like this.]

[Isaac curses a few more times as the warmth returns to his foot and he starts healing the damage done to it. If he were human, this would probably be close to unendurable, but he's not, and within a minute, the feeling starts to fade.

He takes a deep breath. One foot left to go.]

Remind me to lock the door next time we sleep.

Yeah. And trust me, I'll be keeping a better eye on your middle-of-the-night wandering from now on.

[he's just going to keep holding isaac up until this whole deal is done, because the pain and adrenaline cocktail might leave him shaky and because, let's be real, it makes him feel like he's doing something besides standing there and watching his friend suffer.]

[Isaac nods weakly as he puts on his other sock, inhaling a deep breath as that foot slides into the boot that's set out for him.

Again, his fingers tighten over Peter's shoulder and again, Isaac curses loudly, practically doubled over in the pain as the frostbite quickly heals itself. He doesn't even want to think of what this would be like without a healing factor.]

...good. If you let me go again, I'm gonna hit you.

[peter's pretty sure he's bleeding, but the sting of it is distant compared to the twist of isaac's distress in his belly and the obvious agony he's watching unfold. he staggers a bit, letting isaac pull him down when he doubles over, and doesn't let go of him even after the worst of the pain has obviously passed and isaac relaxes a bit again.]

If you get out again, I'll let you hit me.

[Isaac nods once, taking a deep breath in through his nose and slowly extricating his claws from Peter's jacket. He can feel the give of skin when he pulls back, but assumes that he only tore through the thick fabric of his jacket and maybe his shirt. Either way, he feels sort of bad, once he's all back to normal.]

Yeah. Sorry about your jacket.

Our jacket, and it's cool. If I can't figure out how to patch it one of the ladies downstairs can probably be sweet-talked into telling me what a moron I am while doing it for me.

[once isaac pulls his claws free peter's positive he's bleeding, but it hardly matters. he takes off his hat and pulls it down onto isaac's head, then takes the gloves and hat from the bag for himself.]

Up for the walk?

[Isaac shakes his head a little when the hat is jammed down onto it, getting it comfortable before he nods at the question. After a moment though, he lifts the gloved hand that was wrapped around Peter's arm, frowning at the sight of the holes now poked through the fingers where his claws had torn through.]
