Hello. A couple things:
1 -- Are there any licensed therapists around here? Before you ask: yes, it's exactly what it sounds like, and before you volunteer like the good samaritan you are, I should probably inform you that I gave my last counselor a nervous breakdown.
So. Just figured I'd point that out. But hey, why not give it another shot, right? Even better if you know a thing or two about neurocybernetics, but that's not a must. We can work out some form of payment.
2 –- Another vending machine at the station went missing. What the hell is up with that? Whoever's doing this, are you deliberately trying to annoy me and keep me from doing more important work or what, while I'm chasing a vending machine thief. That said, we're low on staff. Go sign up if you have nothing better to do with your time, but don't touch any fucking vending machines. Unless you just want to get a drink, I guess that's okay.
3 -- Your thoughts on pursuing a serious relationship while trapped in this place. Go.

As far as pursuing a relationship while here, I see nothing wrong with doing so.

[ How he can even write this with a straight face, it is a mystery. ]
There are too many unpredictable factors when it comes to relationships. I'm asking myself what the point of getting attached is when people can disappear at a moment's notice.

Two - perhaps they thought the machine was their mother?
Three - it is like everything we do here, for good or for ill we cannot stop being human.
no subject
3 -- Maybe so, but it's also in our nature to question things and our own behavior.

I'd say it depends on how committed you are. Like any other place.
text;
I don't think commitment is the problem here. For one, we're in a war; second, this place is unpredictable. I've seen people come and go, at random. And what happens when all of this is over?

What's the point of falling in love and working on something long-term in a place like this, is the question.

D --> Two: I have no idea nor do I care. There is an e%cess of cameras located around this area watching us continuously and you could probably- with a bit of effort- e%plore that as an option to finding out more
D --> Three: Yes, to those that value that sort of thing for
D --> Comfort... I suppose

Thanks for the advice.
But how 'comfortable' can a relationship you're working hard for to maintain even be if you constantly have to worry about the randomness of this place.

2- That's a rather odd target for theft. My hands are busy with my store but I'll keep an eye and an ear out.
3- There is the problem of either one of you disappearing suddenly. If both of you are willing to advance your relationship despite that however, I don't see why not.
text
Yes, this is one problem. But what happens once this war is over, if ever? And if we come from different places. Or one of us isn't even supposed to be alive.

If you are really looking for one. So many people claim they are, but don't actually desire any professional assistance.

[ACTION; dated to blackout]
...Samus wished it was that easy. Samus Aran feared few things, but of those few things emotional intimacy was possibly one of them. Or at least the prospect of it frightened her, and not for what it was but for what it could do--both to her and someone she legitimately liked and cared about.
Long term wasn't a word she could even fathom the idea of, let alone with Ridley's presence. If anything, it made her inclined to want to distance herself from it all the more. It was slowly becoming apparent that Adam has his own set of issues complicating the matter even further, and she knew just ignoring it wasn't going to resolve it.
All the electricity-deprived apartment building offered was deafening silence and blackness. After the initial excitement of the morning to discover that was probably just a blown fuse somewhere, the rest of the day was dull and monotonous by comparison. Her patrol was uneventful, seemingly wherever her boots carried her. The rest of the city stayed lit up and carried on as usual, barely taking note of one building left in the dark. Adam's building was right over there, she could see it plainly from where she stood.
Before she knew her boots carried her that way, up the elevator and to his door. Her Power Suit had come off somewhere between that and now as she knocked on the door.]

And this time he can't be blamed for hiding anything, like his intentions. They're right there, written out, without mentioning a name, though he wouldn't put it past her to yell at him for that, too.
Can't win.
But he's already suspecting its her when it knocks on the door. Well--at least she's knocking. ]
Yes... hi.
[ All the deadpan as he opens the door. ]

2 - That's really strange. Why are they interfering with your work, though? Are you living off them?
3 - If there's something I've come to realize recently, it's that people can be lost in a lot of ways. It's really sad that someone you care about can vanish one day, but that can happen just as easily without being in a place like this.
You might as well try to enjoy the time you have while you have it. You might regret it if you don't.

2 -- I handle security at the station. Aside from having to abstain from soda, I can't just ignore that someone's been... misplacing things.
3 -- Yeah, only that the chances here are a lot higher. Enjoying something is one thing, but how much can you really enjoy something if you constantly have to worry.
