Lacus, this is Kira.
I know this is sudden, but I was wondering if you were free tomorrow. I finished most of my work. I'd really like to go out and explore a bit more.
Would you like to join me?[ Text to Public; ]
My name is Kira Yamato and I am working on a project, to replace a civilian's leg with an artificial limb.
But I am lacking parts. The most important one is a microcontroller that serves as a brain of my project. If you know where I can find it, I would really appreciate it and it would really change this man's life. It would be much more convenient than making my own from scratch.

I just really want to help out. This is something I can do, so why not?

I don't think my client likes my design that much. You don't happen to be any better at making things look "cool"?

How much less convenient could it possibly be to construct that yourself? It certainly doesn't appear to be a complicated design at all.
[Unless you're stupid. Which you may be; she's yet to finalize an opinion.]
Text
It would probably take me another month just to construct it using the tools I have now. And maybe another few weeks to work on the coding. Finding the materials to construct it would slow me down even more.
I would say it would hinder my progress by 20-30%.
Text
What kind of primitive tools are you using that would require such a ridiculous time investment? Weeks for even programming?
... Are you human? Such slow minds. A real shame.
[No superiority complex here!]
Text
Yes. I am human.[ This is a really strange conversation. ]
I'm ... sorry?

Yeah. It was my specialty back in college.[text]
[text]
Yeah. But I'd say I'm just decent at it. I don't really think I can compete with scientists back home.[text]

Anyway, how advanced are the prosthetics you can build?
text
I see. In that case, I couldn't accept.
I don't to make it very advanced. I just want to make a young boy's dream to run again come true.
text
text
Probably not as advanced as the technology from proper labs.[ Without proper equipment, it would still be impossible to make something too advanced. ]
But with enough time, I suppose I could create something above average.text

And it looks like you really have been busy. But I'm glad you seem to be having fun at least. Just don't forget to take breaks to relax and eat, okay?
[Because. Kira, she knows what you and Athrun are like when you get all busy and concentrate on something like this.]
Text
That is good to hear and no. It is a man's job to pick up the girl. Stay in your room. I don't think Cagalli would ever forgive me if I inconvenience you.[ He is just teasing of course. ]
I am just working on a few projects and trying to be as useful as I can.[ Errr --- yeah. He shouldn't tell her that he often forgets to eat. ]Text
[Yeah. She gets that vibe, and seems more amused by it than anything else.]
Well, I'm glad you're able to help others here like that. I've been wondering if I might look into a job here myself, though I'm not quite sure what exactly.

Where can I find him?
Re: Audio
[Sheepishly:]
But if you see him, maybe you should send him my way. I was supposed to go help him in his shop.

[His skull may not thank him for this suggestion if said mechanic ever comes back... but it's true, isn't it?]
text
You could say that. It is not something I do professionally but I specialized it back in college.[ Left ... behind? If it was something his friend left behind, was it really alright? ]
Thank you. Are you sure? Your friend might be looking for the parts later.no subject
Seriously, though, it's fine. You just want to get someone else back on their own two feet, right? She'll understand. I'll take responsibility for that.
Whether there's anything useful to you in there is another question, but it was just a thought.
