[ Oh hey look, it's Drift. And it appears he's finally given up the gun on the whole trying to pretend he's not a giant awkward robot. He sucks at this whole secret thing. So have a giant robot. ]

So hi there. Uhm. Right. So I'm Drift. And I've got just a few questions.

First is that uh. I'm becoming abundantly aware that I'll probably need to find a better way to fit in here for obvious reasons. I do have something called a "Holoform" which allows me to project a solid holomatter representation of a human. But I'm really. Not a human. So there's that.

I guess what I'm asking is for some help in how humans or organics are really supposed to act.

Second, I'm looking for work. It doesn't actually have to be paid work, but anything I can do to help. My skills lie in.

Uh. Lifting heavy objects, chopping things and... well I'm pretty decent in a fight. So you know. Sparring or training self defense? Anything anyone can think of that they need help with. Please don't hesitate to ask.

Yes, that's exactly it. And well, the holomatter is kind of as the name suggests. It's actually matter, so I can interact with people and objects and I can feel what I interact with to some degree. But yeah. I guess. I kinda need a. Large-guy friendly environment.

Woah, that's way awesome! Also totally crazy in the best of ways, just letting you know. How far away from you can your holomatter form even go?

I haven't actually tested the range, but they can go pretty far. Enough that I could stay nice and cozy somewhere else while I let my holo avatar walk around the city.

Hmm. From head to toe? About eighteen feet, I guess if I'm stretching. Including the uhm-

[ He makes a gesture. His ears. They add nearly a foot and a half on their own. ]

Okay, so a garage with a door that can get up to eighteen feet, and should be at least twenty-six feet tall at the ceiling.

( She claps her hands together. )

Have you gotten to scout the area yet?

Finials- er. Uhm. Sure! Ears then. Haha- I don't really hear through them, but we can go with that.

[ He cants his head to point them at an angle. ]

That would be very nice actually. It sounds perfect.

Hmm. Only a little bit. There are some places I haven't really gotten to explore much.

( She likes that word more than ears. Ears are common. Finials are something new and different! )

( Around the appointed time a golden retriever came bouncing through the doors, jumping up to push them open and lifting its nose to take in a nice deep breath of chill late winter air.

There's a chain around its neck, a watch of some sort hanging down over its chest. Collette's ready to go, looking around for Drift! )

< Hey Drift! You here already? >

[ He'd been sitting in his alt-mode until she arrives, upon which he transforms and looks delighted. He never expected for her to show up as a dog. ]

Oh! Wow! Oh my gosh wow! Oh wow... you're a dog.

[ DUH. Oh. Right. Holomatter. Okay. Gotta do that. ]

( Her own eyes widened watching him come out of alt mode, giving herself a shake and letting her mouth hang open so her tongue can hang out. )

< Take your time, I'm not in a rush. Were you just a car? >

[ He sits down and gets comfortable against a wall, gripping his great sword in his lap.

Closing his optics, the holoform starts to materialize on the ground beside him. ]

[ After a moment the image fuzzes to life. A tall man dressed in a yukata. He has swords on his belt but that appears to be just for show.

So maybe. Maybe he had called in a favor with Pereptor and had him alter it to his... preferences. ]
