[Video] Well this is awkward.
[ Oh hey look, it's Drift. And it appears he's finally given up the gun on the whole trying to pretend he's not a giant awkward robot. He sucks at this whole secret thing. So have a giant robot. ]
So hi there. Uhm. Right. So I'm Drift. And I've got just a few questions.
First is that uh. I'm becoming abundantly aware that I'll probably need to find a better way to fit in here for obvious reasons. I do have something called a "Holoform" which allows me to project a solid holomatter representation of a human. But I'm really. Not a human. So there's that.
I guess what I'm asking is for some help in how humans or organics are really supposed to act.
Second, I'm looking for work. It doesn't actually have to be paid work, but anything I can do to help. My skills lie in.
Uh. Lifting heavy objects, chopping things and... well I'm pretty decent in a fight. So you know. Sparring or training self defense? Anything anyone can think of that they need help with. Please don't hesitate to ask.
[ He's a little desperate to make himself useful. ]

Whoo. Dogs are. Dogs are fast.
[ And in his holomatter? Drift is slow. He walks over to one in the line of garages and appears to simply dissolve as the door opens. ]

( Collette pads inside, lifting her nose in the air and inhaling the scents of the garage. )
no subject
Yep! Right here. Come on in.

< Got a couch or anything for a squishy person to use? >
no subject
[ He actually doesn't... he should remedy that. But for now, he takes off that blanket-poncho he wears to keep the moisture out of his joints and folds it neatly on one of the crates he usually sits on.
Then gently kneeling, holding his hands out, palm up. ]
Mind if I pick you up?

( Collette huffed out her laughter. )
< Not if you don't mind me demorphing once you do. >
no subject
That's fine.
[ He very carefully scoops her up, cupped in his hands. ]
no subject
So this is home sweet home right now?
( She looks around, curious. )
Won't say I'm not a little glad to think you'll be moving kind of closer!
no subject
Yep. For now it's cozy.
Really? Just because?
[ He rests his head in his arms, tipped slightly. It's an oddly human posture. ]
no subject
( She adjusts how she sits on the blanket, idly rubbing the fabric between her fingers. Collette picks at the edge, lifting it up. )
Where's this from?
no subject
That? Oh, I bought it. Wearing it keeps the moisture out of my shoulder joints, but it's also comfortable for organics to use.
no subject
( For some reason, this strikes her as interesting information, even having run across him in pancho before as Terri. )
Man, do you have to file it down if it gets real bad?
( Followed by a pause of consideration: )
You're not exactly inorganic, are you?
no subject
Heh, we usually have rust removal agents. Since we don't have that here as far as I know, I have to be cautious.
It's harder for us to rust, but it does happen. Kind of like how a human might get a rash if they don't take care of themselves.
[ He tips his head with a smile. ]
No, I am. But I guess not in the way that most humans understand. We can get sick, and we have doctors. We can't always just make new parts to replace some things with very easily. Some things, yes. But something like a T-Cog? The thing that allows me to change shape?
That's harder to replace.

( Har-de-har-har, Collette. She grins in good enough humor. )
Sounds like being you is just as complicated as being me. I mean Cybertronians and Humans as a whole.
no subject
Heh. Kinda. Though I gotta say, humans aren't quite as... durable.
no subject
( She snorts. )
Not that we let that stop us!
