[ Oh hey look, it's Drift. And it appears he's finally given up the gun on the whole trying to pretend he's not a giant awkward robot. He sucks at this whole secret thing. So have a giant robot. ]

So hi there. Uhm. Right. So I'm Drift. And I've got just a few questions.

First is that uh. I'm becoming abundantly aware that I'll probably need to find a better way to fit in here for obvious reasons. I do have something called a "Holoform" which allows me to project a solid holomatter representation of a human. But I'm really. Not a human. So there's that.

I guess what I'm asking is for some help in how humans or organics are really supposed to act.

Second, I'm looking for work. It doesn't actually have to be paid work, but anything I can do to help. My skills lie in.

Uh. Lifting heavy objects, chopping things and... well I'm pretty decent in a fight. So you know. Sparring or training self defense? Anything anyone can think of that they need help with. Please don't hesitate to ask.

[ He's a little desperate to make himself useful. ]

( Collette leaps up, balancing on her hind legs in a sort of swaying dance as she sniffs the air. )

< So we're looking for places like this for you? Could use a few strans of Christmas lights. Oh! And a thorough cleaning or twelve! >

[ He gives the place another appraising glance. ]

Yeah. Definitely a fixer-upper. But this would be good. It's dry and has good ventilation. Good aura, too.

What are Christmas lights?

( Collette stops in her tracks to look back at him. )

< Something from a by-gone era, but they're little lights on strings that come in clear or in colors. They're really pretty! You can use them to decorate. Around poles, or across the ceiling and wall joints, or in shapes on the ceiling itself! >

( Yeah, she steps back and looks around. This place would be awesome with the right lighting! )

That sounds. That sounds good really. Peaceful.

[ He gives a sage nod. ]

You think anyone would mind if I took this place over sometime?

< Drift, buddy? I'm absolutely positive that if you want this garage, it's yours for the taking! >

( She spins back toward him, dropping down into a play bow. Her tail wags twice. )

< Welcome to your future abode! >

( She barks for emphasis, a sound that echoes through the room and almost manages to sound like laughter. )

[ He grins at her. Okay, dogs are adorable. He's really liking this form. ]

( She jumped up, balancing on her hind legs with a shuffling dance. )

< I think we both did the finding! I'm glad we've found you a place. Now we can move on to phase two! >

[ Oh. That is just. Too cute. Dogs. Wow. Dogs are really adorable. He keeps that to himself, though. Because he's manly as hell. ]

Phase two I imagine... is the cleaning. And cleaning. And cleaning some more.

[ He kicks at a piece of glass. ]

( Coming back down to all fours, Collette looks around. )

< Yeah, I bet that'd make the most sense. ... Do you... want me to help out with that, too? >

Hm? Well I wouldn't say no. But uh. What was your idea?

[ Because it sounds like it would be more fun. ]

( It's incredibly hard to tell how serious she is. (She's not serious.) )

AHAHA! Oh wow.

Yeah that would be really fun, we should do that anyways.

[ Sorry, he's just a bit of a robo-man-child. ]

( Her tail wags again, highlighting her amusement. )

< It'd give this place a total wash! Though I don't know how clean the water'd be. Or where we'd find a hose! >

Haha, yeah. But it's a nice thought.

Now that would be a hell of a day.

[ He takes one more look around. ]

This is definitely it. I guess I better get some supplies ready and make a day of it sometime next week.

< Let me know when, right? I may not be great at the spring cleaning stuff, but I can definitely handle the moral support! >

[ He turns, squeezing out the way they came, memorizing the location for later. ]

< Right back at you, my large robotic friend! >

( She follows on behind, zipping past to be trotting happily by his holoform's side. Friends walk together. That's a fact! )

< I should probably head back before my time runs too low. Eesh, is the rain going to start up again? Smells like it might! >

( She stuck her nose up in the air as they moved along, inhaling deeply. )

[ It's just. So incredibly nice to have someone so optimistic alongside him. He smiles down at her, looking up at the sky. ]

Your time? What do you mean?

Ah... yeah it seems like it. Do you want to come back with me? My quarters are closer.

[whatsupcroc]

< I gotta go human again for a while. It's kind of a necessary part of how I can do this whole animal thing! >

( She cocks her head to one side, offering him a curious expression as they keep moving. )

< The place you've been is near-by here? Sure, I'd love to see it! Or I can come back again later. That would be fine, too, if you were okay with it! >

I see. That makes sense. Changing shape takes a lot of energy. I would know.

[ He laughs pointing off down the street. ]

I wouldn't mind that. It's just over that way a few blocks. Nothing to look at but you know. It's cozy.

( He's right -- it does! Him actually knowing, in his different but similar way, is comforting. Raven hadn't seemed to have the same sort of energy difficulties that Collette did her best to mask from everyone. )

< Sure, that's close enough it should be easy as eating yogurt from a tube! >

( She picks up her pace nonetheless, trotting the way he'd indicated. )

< Race ya! >

Huh?

[ He watches her for a moment before running after. ]

HEY WAIT! WHAT'S YOGURT? And why does it come in tubes?!

< I have no idea! But it tastes awesome! >

( The exact process of yogurt making eludes her, but she runs fast fast fast the way he'd pointed, mental laughter all around. )

Ah-! You're fast!

[ On foot, his holomatter is absolutely no match, the best he can do is try to keep up all the way home. ]

( She slows down, realizing in the end she's not entirely sure where they're ending up. )

< I consider that a clear win in my favor! So... will the gracious loser let the winning canine into the right garage? >
