That was a mess, wasn't it? The monsters, I mean. If things get that bad around here often, I can understand why you'd feel the need to bring me here. A world with no sun can never prosper.
Unfortunately, I'm not really in much of a position to help out at the moment.
[He pauses for a moment, putting on a pair of red-tinted sunglasses.]
You caught me at a bad time. I'm still on vacation, I'm afraid.
[Annnd feed off, yo'.]
[Action]
[If you happen to out and about today, you'll mostly definitely come across this guy. Except it seems his talk of being on vacation was completely serious, since wherever it is you run into him he's sitting in a worn out looking deck chair with his hands behind his head and enjoying the sub-par weather.
Seriously guys. Vacation time. Important.]
[ooc: reply through either the network or just happen to run into him, whatever works!]

He had to stop walking when he noticed the man sitting in a deck chair, relaxing. And then he had to laugh. ]
You forgot the drink with an umbrella in it.

A little too cliche, don't you think?

But I don't think the weather is right for any of those suggestions.

[ A smile and a flick of his fingers. ]
Ah, but manners. You are new here, yes?

[ Asami approaches with her last bit of shopping for a long, long time, because both her wallet and her desire for a particular expense demand it. But it's worth it, the bag of cosmetics in the same hand that carries a tea, and the other hand holds an umbrella over her head. She stops by the guy vegging out like he's enjoying a warm afternoon in the sun.
It might be a little weird, and so a cause for concern. She follows up her statement when she's a bit closer. ]
Are you doing all right?

If it was too cold, I wouldn't be out here, would I?
no subject
[ She says it with a light-hearted chuckle. ]
Are you sure you don't want some hot tea or anything?

[Though, again, he thinks she's awfully considerate for a stranger. He pushes himself out of his chair, standing.]
Although going somewhere with more than one chair might be a better idea.

Alright, I'm glad to hear it! My name's Asami.

So without a moment of hesitation (because what is personal space, really) she slips up beside him to sit down cross-legged just next to that chair.]
Seriously, mate? In this weather?

What can I say? I've had a busy year. It makes anything seem like a vacation in comparison.

And then, a man - it looks like a man - ... appears. There's a 'bzzt' sound, and before there was no one, and now there is this guy, wearing a black kimono, a black hakama, a white haori with the japanese number 6 in a diamond shape between his shoulder blade, and a strange hairstyle.
He's also holding a katana, and uses it to properly slice up the beast, moving around it too fast for the eyes to see. One second he's in front, the next in the back, and his strokes are way too fast.
When he's done, in about five seconds, the beast is dead, and he shakes the blood from his blade before sheathing it.
Just cleaning up the last of the critters. All in a day's work. But when he feels the energy coming from what appears to be a human, he turns around, just to check.]
[Action]
Besides, everything worked out. Someone else took care of it, so he felt there really was no cause for alarm. Instead, he merely calls out to the Shinigami from where he's sitting, not moving even to look at him. His tone of voice is calm as ever.]
Is something the matter?
[Action]
I believe everything is in order now.
[And while his words sound Japanese, they also sound like something right out of a samurai period drama.]
[Action]
He gets up out of his chair, turning to face Byakuya if only because this guy looks a little less modern compared to everyone else he's run into.]
Clean up duty, then. I didn't know there were enough monsters left to worry about.

[...He's going to just stare at you, granny-boy.]
You're serious about being in a vacation are you.
[He's not the brightest bulb in the world, whoops.]
Action;
[He turns in the boy's direction from his seat.]
There's always somewhere worse out there, after all. You should be grateful you're here and not there.
Action;
[But that's not really the point here...!]
I don't think they called you here for you to laze around, though.
[Action]
Where did you even get that lawn chair from?
[Action]
[He shrugs in his seat, still staring into the sky.]
You'd be surprised at what you can find if you're willing to look.
