Brief description of technology in your world: In Storybrooke, things are relatively modern for the year 2013. In the Enchanted Forest, we are behind THOSE times, at least, by several hundred years. Some tend to use magic in place of modern technology.

Races (Human/Non-Human): Greater and lesser mortals - lesser mortals being humans. Greater mortals are split between the Above and Below, and have adopted the titles of angels (Above) and demons (Below). But this doesn't have much to do with the lore of human relgions, more like we liked how it sounded and decided it was kind of a cool idea. We're not all winged with harps or whatever, each of us has different abilities and what makes a demon a demon is the fact they are an outcast from our society for various reasons. There are also people who are mixed between great ermortal and humans, but I couldn't say what thye call themselves I haven't met one.
Brief description of technology in your world: iPods and Lady Gaga and stuff. I have trouble remembering passwords to everything. There is electricity and also the internet. In the Above and Below REalm, there is not as much technology because people have the power to alter reality to their needs, some people powerfully so.
Has your race ever encountered extraterrestrial life? Technically greater mortals are extra terrestial. But it's not so much that they came from another planet but an entirely different plane of existence.

Greetings. Welcome to Exsilium... what's left of it. I'm Dr. Gordon Freeman, a transport just like you and a scientist in the Hold when we still had a Hold to do science in. As it is, I'm spending most of my time now monkeying around in engineering and trying to make causality streams match up again.

Brief description of technology in your world: at the time of my departure, we were capable of forcefields, teleportation, zero-point field manipulation, biomechanical amalgamation technology, and other advanced technologies, but I wasn't able to actually figure any of them out properly since I was temporally displaced myself, and too busy with other things to launch an extensive study.

[Oh brother. You asked for it.]

Yes. Several extradimensional species, some hostile, some benign, some little more than offworld fauna that had wandered thorough rifts. Fauna included parasitic organisms that were capable of taking over the host's somatic and motor control systems and rendering it a zombie as part of its life cycle. Say what you will about this place, at least we don't have to deal with that here. Well, not very often anyway.

Of the intelligent races, the Vortigaunts are a semi-collective bipedal species with charge-potential manipulation abilities that were a slave race at the time I found out about them. Their slavers were a physically-degenerate psychic race that I hope I never see again. The list goes on and probably would be too long for a simple survey. Suffice it to say that we've encountered more attention from offworld races than we ever really deserved.
