Good evening. I'm Carlos, a new arrival.  I'm a human scientist, from Earth, year 2013.

I was hoping that some transports would be able to help me with an informal survey regarding their home world and time points. Feel free to leave some answers blank, I just wanted to get an idea of what different worlds are out there. This is for my own personal research, but I appreciate any help you can provide. I apologize if someone has asked these questions before, I just wanted to get up-to-date data.

I guess that one man's horror movie is another's research paper.

It's a very interesting place. Things happen quite frequently and there is more than enough to study.

[And there were interesting PEOPLE, too.]

I like to think so. Some of them are a little scared of things, sometimes.

Not as much that as the house that doesn't exist.

I should explain- there is a housing development in Night Vale in which there is a house that, by all logic, should exist.

None of the locals took us up on the offer of $5 to ring the doorbell, so I did it myself. I turned down the $5, of course, I have a bit of scientific integrity.

Okay I'll bite. What happened?

And how are you supposed to ring a doorbell of something that doesn't exist?

That's the strange part! Before I could actually ring the doorbell, a woman emerged from the house and walked through all of us as if we didn't exist.

I have reason to believe she was one of the radio station interns.

Well, I think the house might be situated in some kind of spacetime limbo, or existing between universes...it's puzzling, for certain.

Okay but

So the house doesn't exist but you could try to ring its doorbell anyway? How does that even work?

We had conflicting theories on what would happen, and someone needed to test it, so I decided to.

[khajidont]

No I mean how did you ring something that doesn't exist?

[imperfectness]

Well, you see, that's exactly why we wanted to ring it! We weren't certain if we could, in the first place, but being a good scientist means you have to try things that might seem very improbable.

[Help, Carlos, he doesn't get it.]

You're pretty committed to this whole science thing.

I am! I think the study of the laws of the universe is the most essential thing to understanding how the universe works!

There's always something new to discover, and a good scientist knows that you never stop learning.

[Plus he gets a sweet lab coat, so...]

And how they relate to observable phenomena, yes!
