Jo? [There's surprise on his face, that what the hell is going on here? sort of look.] I'm fine, but what about you? Ellen must be worried sick.

She stares at the feed for a little while before she flicks the video on. No, she couldn't just start being -- afraid.]

[ It's been close, or possibly over a year since Dean's last seen Sam. That hadn't been back home either, no, but no matter what the world or dimension, his brother is always his brother; stupid haircut, too tall and..always asking for him. He's not entirely sure how to even react at first, stunned silence at the screen where his brother is busy talking becoming his entire world for a too-long minute.

It might be a good idea to actually reply, even if all you'll get is a shock-gasped -- ]

[His first thought is relief; Sam is there, looking alive and as well as he remembers him. He isn't convinced this is really his son, but for the love of God only Sam could do something as completely reckless and stupid as showing his face on a public network of another world and honestly telling the world who he's looking for.

It's like he taught his sons nothing. Where is their hunter paranoia? How did they ever manage to survive? Oh, if this is Sam, he's getting into the retraining program alongside Dean, and he doesn't give a rats ass what he may have to say about this.

He takes a moment to calm himself down, respond without his concern generated anger; after all even he acknowledges the emotional strain of seeing your dead father.]

I'd say too many damn people can see you, Sammy. You gotta be more careful than that.

[Maybe a year ago, or two, when he had a little more faith than he does now, he could've accepted that this is his father. But the road has gotten a lot tougher, Sam's gotten a little more jaded. Those angels he used to believe in? Turns out most of 'em are dicks. And for all the strangeness he's encountered so far, no one's mentioned the dead being here.]
