Uh - hey. I'm not sure if anyone else out there can really hear me. To tell you the truth, I'm still not convinced that any of this is real.

[Sure, he's seen more than his share of strange things. But his dreams have been equally bizarre. He's sort of hoping for the latter.]

I'm looking for someone. His name is Dean.

[Or maybe he's under an alias. But he really doesn't feel like covering the list that ranges from "Dr. James Hetfield" to "Sigfried Houdini"]

He's got brown hair, brown leather jacket, hazel eyes - I think. Anyway, if anyone can hear me, and they see him, tell him...tell him that his brother is looking for him.

No thanks to him, but -- yeah. I'm all right. What about you? I mean, other than looking for your brother, how're you handling this whole 'forced recruitment' thing?

[He almost says that it wouldn't be the first time, then reconsiders.]

I'm holding up. I didn't expect there to be so many of us though.

...Hey, can I ask you something?

Yeah, it's a little -- startling. People just keep showing up, more and more every few weeks.

[She blinks, though.]

[Yep, he's gotta bite the bullet. But it doesn't sound like the worst thing that's happened to her lately.]

[Well, at least he didn't outright accuse her of being a monster.]

[And yes, she totally says that with her pompous-I'm-moking-my-brother British accent.]

[Sometimes monsters can look surprisingly normal too. He tries to remember that.]

Evolution? So you're the future of the human race?

That's the implication. My brother's words, not mine.

[And -- well, she tries to convey it's her belief, too. Not as fervently as she might want to believe it right now, but she does believe it.]

But evolution helps a species adapt, makes it better suited for its environment. What's your advantage?

[For once, she doesn't actually want to give away her shapeshifting -- at least, not over the network. She shrugs her shoulders easily.]

I'm faster than most people. More flexible.

Has it paid off here?

It paid off while we were fighting dinosaurs.

That's technically here, I guess, but in the past.

Dinosaurs. Like real velociraptors and t-rex?

Yep.

They're way faster than you'd think. The raptors especially.

I think I'll just take your word for it. [Finding out for himself? He'll pass.]

Probably the safer way than to find out, yeah.
