I realize because of our actions while we were stuck on the moonbase that we've changed things here on Earth, but just because the environment in Exsilium is different I think the chances are pretty high that the United Earth will come after us again now that we're back on the planet. And as far as I know we don't actually have any reliable means of uncovering any plots against us. There's no telling when and how they'll strike, and even if there was... do we even have any plans ourselves on how to deal with it? Unless we have advance warning and several days to move people back up to the moon I haven't heard about any ways to protect the Transports from the United Earth.

Besides that, I can't be the only one that would like to think of a defense plan that would protect the citizens of Exsilium as well.

The first order of business should be to determine where the other transports are staying, canvas our surroundings, and come up with potential invasion routes and escape routes should we need them.

I think you're right about that. A general headcount might not be bad either, even if that number is constantly in flux.

If we have one person who is willing to recheck on a monthly basis it might not be too bad.

The Initiative must keep such information; after all, if our tablets are all connected, they should be able to instantly determine how many are active and where they're located.

The ethics of making use of that information without the other transports' consent is questionable at best, though.

If it's just a list of who is and isn't here I don't think it's a problem, as long as we're not prying into things any deeper than that.

Don't you think it would be more appropriate to gain the others' consent first?

We aren't a cohesive unit. Plenty of people here don't want to or can't even fight. Likely there are some who want to live out the terms of their conscription in peace. They deserve to make what choices they can for themselves.

If we were using the list to make them join in fights I would agree with you. I don't want to use these lists and a way to recruit people into this war, but as it is we're just talking about keeping tabs on people so we can warn them to get to safety if something were to happen. And without a list of names in the first place to tell us who to ask, we can't exactly find the people to ask for consent either.

Though we can always make the offer to leave people off of it if we do checks. If someone doesn't want us finding them in case of an emergency, even if it doesn't seem right to leave a person behind we can respect their wishes and not try to seek them out.
