[So this hasn't been a traumatic last few days at all. Still Sky assumes it's better to at least find something to do than sit around and think about how she isn't home. Or about how people were just killed on earth. What she's supposed to do? She doesn't know. She amusingly assumes to herself that at least no one will need her to cook any books here.]
Ugh, hi. I'm Skyler. [Because while only a handful here are associated with her husband, she would rather leave him out of this.]
I'm not really sure what I'm supposed to do. [And this is already starting to sound like an AA introduction or something.] I'm a mom back home. It's the one thing I'm really good at.
[It's not entirely true, but she doesn't really know what else to say, and who needs an accountant in space?]
I like to write, and I don't really have powers. Or know how to fight. Well. [She doesn't want to think about the fight with the kitchen knife, so instead she just breathes and nods.]
I'm not sure what I could really do here, but I'm good with children. I have two of my own, and I'd like to help if I can.

Oh shiiiiiiiit.
She doesn't miss that Mrs. White from Jesse, and Steph has absolutely no idea how to approach this situation. It's impossible not to think of her own mother, not with what she knows of Walter White, and she has to wonder if he treats his wife the same way Arthur Brown treated his.
But this woman doesn't need her projecting, so she forces herself to push those thoughts away, before switching on the feed, deciding to handle this like she might handle any other newbie.]
Hi, Skyler, I'm Steph. [a little wave, and her smile is warm.] I work with the clinic, and we're trying to get ourselves set up here, and we could really use any extra hands. You don't have to know first aid or anything, just helping out with the organization of supplies and equipment would be great.
[She knows what it's like to have nothing to do and to go crazy with it, so she's trying to offer an option for someone who isn't a fighter or a diplomat.]

I'll do anything at this point. Even if it's just stocking. It'll be like a high school job all over again. [Except no shitty pay.]

Maybe the clinic can use an extra pair of hands.

There is a...sweet boy I have taken in my care while here, though. I am certain it would do him well to know more care and love.

It seems quite a few people adopted other children.

Armin tries not to think too much about his mother.]
Considering how some people seem to take on the role of mother, perhaps you could provide some sort of instruction.
[Armin doesn't want her to know his age, doesn't want another person fussing over him in such a way. And yet.]
There will be plenty who can help you learn to fight, I am sure. I could make some suggestions if no one has stepped forward.
But I've heard it said that it takes far more than strength to win wars. Perhaps some area of expertise you have - logistical things, or empathy, or budgeting, will prove to be useful in the end. If you have a good knowledge of Earth's timeline you could also help brainstorm ideas for where we can find supplies.
text;
I don't really want to fight. But thank you.
[She doesn't really know how she feels about aiding them in general, though she likes the idea of caring for the children. They're innocent in all this.]

[He inspects her image on the screen and seems to be satisfied with it.]
It's an occupation that's fairly well respected, in my opinion. My sisters and I were essentially raised without one, and none of us ended up being better off for it. I did meet my mother, much later...
[His expression changes from smiling distance to weary sadness]
...and I thought I could have a relationship with her at one point. But she died before I could. I do know that she treasured all of her children, even if she could not be with us. That is enough for me.

Maybe you could cook? I bet you're good at that, and there's lots of people who are junk at cooking. [A beat.] I'm junk at cooking.

Fighting is a little more involved, I think. It's not something I want to learn for myself. [She's already been involved in enough violence.]
I don't know if they need any cooks.

This could almost be a post I'd make. Well, except for the "good with children" part, despite a few reassuring Father's Day cards.
...If it's any consolation, it sounds like a lot of people are still trying to figure this crap out.

I'd like to help if I can. Do something.
