Because you see them as a threat and you're warning us about them? They may be everyone's problem if they're really a threat, but you know the most about them. [Or seem to.] The least you could do is tell the rest of us how to fight them off, or what kind of door will hold them back.

If they're supposed to be "just stories" and you don't know for sure if silver bullets will work, how are you so sure getting bit's going to turn anyone into one? It's the same thing, isn't it? Just a wild guess.
