Anyway, I hope everyone caught AI's announcement, about the revival technology getting left behind. Consider this a friendly reminder to try to avoid dying, alright? If there are any accidents, on missions or otherwise, I have a spell to resurrect the recently dead. Not that that means you should start getting reckless, because my supplies for it are limited. If anyone else has a similar ability, now would be a really, really good time to speak up about it.

because your life is precious, and even more than that the lives of all those weve lost are precious. if were going to get them back its going to take a lot of cleverness and quick thinking and you have both of those in spades. its ultimately very selfish of me i know, but so it is.

Her monitor shows Earth as seen from the base, though not as it would be seen now from some home-facing window. The earth of today is a waxing crescent, still a short distance from its first quarter—but the earth of the monitor is a full sphere, brightly lit by the sun.

[ He moves quietly, but not with any attempt at stealth. Stealth has never been his thing. He's thoroughly observed both monitor and sketchbook by the time he makes it to her, and then sinks into a crouch next to her, one hand holding out a mug of coffee and the other carrying a small bowl of powdered creamer and sugar.
