[Greetings, Exsilium. Hope you're not tired of all these new transports, because there is going to be one (1) more popping up on the network during this lovely evening. She had avoided being overly social after her initial briefing, but now she had a stomach to fill and some time to kill, so here she was. If she looks a little bit too made up for this to be a casual, spur of the moment video, that's because it's not.
It's actually a con.]
Y'know, when I got dragged here, the last thing I expected was to be nearly bored to death. [Laughing a little, mostly because haha--death. That's hilarious.] I guess I was wrong, though. Let's change that.
[And shuffling a little, if only to show a couple of coins on the feed, she explains herself.]
Tell me a story. It can be scary, funny, sad-- whatever it is you can think of. If you make me cry, I'll buy you anything you want. If you don't... you'll buy me food tonight. Sounds good? [Probably not.
But, she looks frail and young enough for this to be easy. It should be easy, right? Right. That said, she flashes a smile at her tablet and ends the recording right there.]

[How did stories like these usually start?]
Years ago, in my home world, the humans fought the orcs that had arrived through a portal from another world. The orcs destroyed where the humans lived, and they fled north, and settled in Lordaeron.
Years later, the orcish Horde moved north, attacking the humans and their dwarven and gnomish allies, and eventually the high elves of Quel'thalas. This joining of forces was called the Alliance of Lordaeron.
My father was among the people who defended us against the orcs. Eventually, though they attacked us in our new homelands, we were victorious, and the orcs were pushed back from the lands that were now under the care of the Alliance.
That all happened when I was but a boy. My father was a hero, but like many heroes, he died in service to his homeland.

I've seen few gambles without rigged odds.

Who said anything about rigged odds?
[Not denying it's a kind of gamble, but that much should be obvious to anyone who wants to jump in.]

Not that this doesn't totally remind me of like... what's that game, where you have to not smile no matter what someone does?
text;
i'm so bored, i'm about to cry all by myself. i don't think a normal conversation would fix that.
[and also people are squishy and stinky and shouldn't hang out with her at all, okay.]

Wouldn't you rather have a story that could make you laugh?

If I laugh hard enough to cry, then it's fair game.

video; holy shit this got long im so sorry /face in hands
At first the four worked in harmony to bring peace to the Kingdom, to maintain order and happiness, and it worked; everyone lived peacefully. However, as time went on and there was no sign of their Father ever returning, the three boys began to grow impatient. Although they still loved their Father, he had been gone for so long that they were driven to madness, believing he may never return. They thought that if they established his one thousand year kingdom instead, he would return prematurely. Although the fourth child asked for them to remain patient and not do anything rash, they turned on her in their despair and chased her away.
Slowly, the kingdom began to deteriorate, and the people of the kingdom began to grow restless and angry towards the three remaining children. In order to find someone they could use to mediate between their people and themselves, someone the subjects of the Kingdom would trust as one of their own, they began to hold great battles between the lowest of the low among their population, finding their champion in the victor who triumphed over every other competitor. The people of the Kingdom grew to support this young man greatly, as they were all taken in by his prowess in combat and his humble personality, one they could relate to. Slowly, the ruling trio of the Kingdom set up situations in which their champion would face difficult trials, many of which involved killing their own subjects set up to be enemies and traitors to the Kingdom, spurred on by a friend so loyal to the three rulers that he wouldn't dare question whether murdering their own people was wrong. The trials were disguised as nothing more than service to the kingdom, be it executing criminals or putting a stop to entities that were deemed to be working against the stability of the Kingdom. The people were dying, their kingdom was deteriorating still, and finally, their champion decided to rise against the three after they attempted to kill his friend. He broke into the room the trio held themselves up in and killed them all, liberating the Kingdom from their tyranny.
As for the Father, he had purposefully held off from returning until this time. In truth, he had planned on simply allowing the four to turn on each other over time, choosing the last surviving child as his Heir, but with the three sons dead and the Daughter missing, he had but one choice remaining - their Champion. After all, he had triumphed over the three remaining Children, so passed the test in their stead. He attempted to give his Champion a gift, one he could use to wipe clean the Kingdom of all dissenters and re-establish a new society filled with only the loyal, only to find the Champion had also turned on him, driving the King to madness as well. He attempted to kill the man, claiming he too was nothing more than a traitor, but was struck down just as his sons had been. When the daughter finally returned, seeing that the Kingdom had fallen and her family was dead, not to mention the atrocious deeds they had committed, overwhelmed by both sadness for her loss and disgust for the actions of her family, she took her own leave and never returned. Although the kingdom remained for a time under the fair rule of the Champion, he eventually succumbed to time and passed away, as all do, and the Kingdom fell for good, remembered not for it's successes, only it's greatest failure.
video; IT'S OKAY
Is that based on a Roman myth? [it sounds vaguely roman to her, okay.]

video; I'm so sorry.
The princes were watched over by a kind, good witch! Yes, she took very good care of these two, especially the elegant prince. She taught them everything they would ever need to know to survive in the harsh, unforgiving lands beyond their kingdom!
[His smile dissolves.]
That was, of course until the EVIL Rappig Prince appeared! Yes, he was half animal, and COMLETELY inelegant! He drove our two princes apart, in the end! No matter what the Rose Prince did, the Stone Prince had fallen under this despicable swine's spell!
The kindly witch did everything she could, but her time in that kingdom was...drawing to a close! She had to return to the mountains from whence she had come. The Rose Prince cried when she departed, and at that moment, he and the Stone Prince vowed to cast a spell that would summon her back!
Years went by, and the two princes never forgot their quest. They devoted their lives to learning as many spells as they could, and finally, they had summoned the briefest flicker of the kindly witch...
AND THE RAPPIG PRINCE INTERRUPTED THEIR WORK and outlawed all summoning spells! What a terrible day for the poor Rose Prince...his own dreams were crushed, and this best friend turned against him!
He departed from the empir- Kingdom! And vowed to find a way to summon the kindly witch back, on his own, because he had not forgotten his vow, and nor would he EVER.
[He reclines back a bit in his chair, smiling to himself, satisfied that he had told the Best Story.]
video; oh my god
He might have not succeeded in making her cry, but at least he made her laugh. A little. Kind of? IT'S BETTER THAN NOTHING. She's not even sure what to make of it, but considering the type of guy that's narrating it..........]
Is that an autobiography? [IT SOUNDS RIDICULOUS ENOUGH.]
