[A rare video feed from Kaneis comes on, partly because one of his roommates had to turn on the tablet. It becomes quickly apparently why- it seems his hands and locks of his hair are tangled up with strips of brightly colored leopard print duct tape. Someone attempted to do home repairs when they knew absolutely nothing about home repair. The background shows one giant hole in the wall about six inches in diameter, just to give you an idea. Allen is next to him, trying to get some of the duct tape off]
Okay okay- I'll ask! Just get me outta this stuff!
[He gives a huff and looks at the camera. He looks rather disgruntled]
Say, does anyone out there know where a person can get a couch? Ours kinda...got wrecked the other day and we can't fix it.
Oh and, stuff to seal up holes in the wall? That'd be good too.

Cross finishes off his cigarette and sends Timcanpy off to retrieve Allen, because right now he's comfortable in this abandoned, damaged building and doesn't feel like moving. ]
ACTION;
ALLEN ARRIVES eventually. He enters the derelict building with his stomach in knots, Timcanpy fluttering overhead.
Yet even though he knows he's here, it still doesn't feel real, that Cross is here. Really really here, in Exsilium, in this city, in this building. It won't, until he sees him in the flesh.
He's not looking forward to it.]

part of the building's interior walls are collapsing, and in some spots the rain is coming through via the roof or windows. it's completed by a set of collapsed stone stairs and lots of shadowy corners.
at first, it seems like Cross might be hiding anywhere, so Allen won't see him at first. but, once he turns a corner, he'll spot that fiery red hair standing out against the greys and blacks. he's standing on the aforementioned stairs, one hand on his hip and a smile (not innocent at all) on his face. ]

But Allen's temper from twenty-or-so minutes ago seems to have abated a bit, and he's left with a sort of weariness that's becoming increasingly familiar (Cross is yet another Exorcist snatched from home, and if the Initiative can grab him, nobody is safe), and dread (Cross Marian.)
He's keeping an eye out for any... weapons.]

okay, that's a damn lie. he always has his weapons ready at any moment's notice. he just doesn't have them in his hand(s) right now, or so Allen can only see. for all Allen knows, Cross could be evoking Magdala Curtain on his hand(s) right now. ]
