A few things.

First... I would like to have some sparring partners and some teachers. While I'm good with my own weapons, it's pretty clear that they're not advanced enough to take on the UE's technology. If someone would be able to show me how to use something more effective, maybe some sort of gun, I'd be grateful and would do something in return. I think other people have already offered, but I'm also open to instructing in swordsmanship and related combat things.

Second, I wanted to say thank you to those of you who have been concerned or helped me out lately, both in arriving here and in... well, recent events. It means a lot.

Third. [She hesitates, wondering how to phrase this.] Say that someone from your world, who's... from later in time, tells you something bad happens in your future. You don't trust the person who says it, but they don't exactly have a good reason to lie about it at this point. What...

[Where is she even going with this? Sango stops abruptly and her frown is nearly palpable on the feed.]

And... some sort of complicated things happened during the bombing stuff that means she doesn't necessarily have a good reason to lie to me because it only makes her look bad... but she can be spiteful, so I thought, maybe...

[She pulls herself together and sighs.]

But look - demons lie. They don't have to have a reason sometimes it's just to hurt you, to stick it to you the way they know would hurt the worst. You don't know your future, and I can guarantee you whatever she told you it wasn't the whole story even if it's true.

[Maybe this kind of problem is actually not uncommon... which would suck a lot.]

Demons in your world and in mine aren't the same, remember? And Kagura... isn't exactly a conventional one. Actually, I wonder if she doesn't technically count as half-demon...

[But still, she's a creature of Naraku, and Naraku definitely lies.]

Anyway, not the point. But thank you, that does make sense.

Yeah they're different, but an enemy always has the motivation to manipulate you. If you're vulnerable, that's their advantage.

The thing is, I... it's complicated, but I told her I'd help her look for a way back to our world, so... telling me that in the future she's going to kill me is not exactly working to her advantage.

Maybe she's trusting you'll do that anyway, cuz you wanna go back there anyway right? Maybe she's thinking she can just tag along anyway, trying to feel stronger than you, trying to make you fear her. Maybe you kill her and this is her revenge, tormenting you in this world. There can be a million different reasons.

Well I've got death in my immediate future too. [it's easier to pretend that's what bothers him]

I can't go back until the battle here is finished... until I know the UE won't come calling. So it's just sending her back, really...

Well, maybe she figured that too. That you can't really help her.

[But then why would she have helped Sango? Kagura, why must you have confusing motivations.]

You and your brother... you both kill monsters and such, right? With guns, I'm guessing.

Yeah, among other things. Each monster can be killed with a different weapon.

They're not hard enough to kill already?

You'd think - [he huffs a laugh] but no, they have to make things worse.

Well... I guess that's familiar enough. Evil spirits can't be taken out with violence alone... and sometimes different types of demons are more easily taken care of with poison than with blades.

[Talking shop is fun okay. She hasn't gotten to do this in forever. ; n;

At this point, Kirara chooses to chirp in with a meow. Unfortunately, no one will know what she is trying to contribute to this conversation because neither party speaks demon cat.]

Yeah, and some have to be burned, some can only be harmed by silver - if you figure out what kills it that's half the battle won right there.

[Sango, figuring that if she's going to be talking to Sam regularly that she needs to bite the (possible) bullet already, switches the feed to video. She herself isn't looking the greatest, being bruised and squinting a little too hard at the screen, but the camera is focused on the currently kitten-sized Kirara in her lap. The two-tailed, red-eyed, fairly obviously demonic Kirara in her lap.]

[he sticks to voice, it's a step up from the text he wanted to use in the first place.]

Is that a...native animal to your world?

[Sango reverts as well, feeling the urge to sigh.]

Well... if you'd call demons native. [Yes, fear her, the terrible Demon Sympathizer.] I told you that where I'm from, they can be good too, right? This is Kirara and she was with my family for generations. She's a big help on exterminations.

[Before Dean told him what he told him, he'd be excited to hear that.

But now...]

How does she...help?

This isn't her 'helpful' form. But when we do have to fight, she can transform to be able to carry several people... she flies, and she's pretty good at tearing demons apart.

[Which might not be the most comforting thing??]

[So it's big, it flies, it's strong, and it can tear a demon apart.

So what will it do to a human if it sets its mind to it?]

Why does she work with your family? Is she bound under some sort of spell?

Ah, if anything it's sort of tied to something that started a long time ago in my village, where she was a companion to a very powerful priestess who also fought with demons. But she was always with us by choice.

[Of course she could tear a human to pieces. But why would she, unless there's a good reason?]

Do you know why she chooses to do that, to fight against her own kind?

[because she's a demon.]
