[ It takes a bit of shaking the thing about. Despite the tutorial, this is so different to Edmund that he can't seem to fully grasp it at once. He eventually seems to get that it's recording, though, and the shaking stops. ]

Oh - it's on. Good. I was starting to think I'd broken it.

Um, hello. While a great deal of things have certainly been explained to me, and I'm doing my best to try and catch up on it all, I did have a question I was hoping people might be able to answer for me.

Have you come across anyone with the last name "Pevensie"? I'm looking for my brother and sisters. Or even just one of them, maybe. Lucy? Are you here?

[ He's not used to world jumping without her and he's hopeful she'll get the message. He presses his lips together a little more roughly, trying not to convey too many of his nerves and keep up a mostly regal appearance. ]

I've not heard of either of those names, but it might be better that they're not here.

That's what everyone keeps trying to console me with. I'm not sure how well I believe it yet.

[The cat stares back with most interest! It's alright, Edmund, Sango is used to the questions.]

Well, would you want to send your siblings off to war? Even if it was with you. As nice as it can be here, that's what it really is. Just a battle.

... I s'pose not, but I'm not very used to going into battle without them. It's going to be hard to adjust to.

[ And okay he can't help it, he points a bit to the cute fluffy thing ;; ] Is that a cat? I mean, it looks a bit like a cat, but ... not a cat I've seen before.

[A forlorn sigh.] Yes, I know what you mean.

This is Kirara. [A chirped meow of greeting.] She's not a normal cat, no. She's a demon cat, so she's a lot smarter and more powerful.

I don't think I've ever seen anything like her. [ Which is really saying something, considering. He smiles a little. He loves him some animals :3 ] She seems friendly enough. Not the sort of thing you expect when you hear with the word demon in the title.

Well, you're not exactly being threatening at the moment. She can live up to her label when she needs to.

I'll try to keep up as a trustworthy stranger so I don't find out firsthand, then.

[He gets a little smile for that.]

Well, you seem to be doing a pretty good job at that, but a trustworthy acquaintance is better than a trustworthy stranger, right? I'm Sango.

I guess it is, yeah.

Edmund. It's nice to meet you, Sango. Uh - despite the circumstances, I think is the proper addition here.

Funny, I was just about to add that, too. But like I said, even if it is something of a war, it's often not so bad here. Preparation is the key.

I'm sure I'll grow used to it here. Even if things are clearly a little... strained, no place can be all bad luck.

Well, you seem to be adjusting pretty quickly...

Do I? I mean - I suppose I am. I'm not pleased by any standards, but these sorts of things happen. I'm sure I'll get home eventually.

Getting abducted into a separate world just happens?

[C'mon man, you at least owe her a story for that one.]

[ Fff. He laughs a little awkwardly at that, scratching his head. ]

Well - uh - yes? I mean, when I was ten, I stumbled through a wardrobe with my siblings and ended up in a winter wonderland of sorts. So it's not really as uncommon as you think.

Maybe in some places. [a little ponderous half-chuckle.] The closest thing in my world is time travel, through an old well actually, but it only happens with one person I know and only transports from one era to another. Not nearly as complex as it is here.

I've only ever found my way between Narnia and London, but Aslan said that it's connected to many worlds. So I guess... this shouldn't be all too surprising to me. I've only ever known us to do it, though, so it's interesting to get to talk to so many people from other places this time.

Honestly, it makes it a little less isolating.

Who's Aslan?

He's the Great Lion. The creator of Narnia.

So... like a god?

Yeah, a bit. Though he never calls himself one.

Well, some are more modest than others. It seems to me that the least powerful ones like to brag the most.

[ He chuckles a little, because... well, that sounds a lot like Jadis, that's for sure. ]

Sounds about right. Aslan is, above all else, a modest sort. He's not one to enjoy attention.

I take it you're fond of him.
